The Founding Growth Lead will build growth strategies to scale Lassie's customer base and ARR while leveraging AI-driven tools and experimentation.
The summary above was generated by AI

Lassie is building AI for health practices, transforming a $1T industry still run on paper into one powered by automation. We are growing fast, are the technology leader, and the love our early customers have for the product has us on track to become a unicorn next year by serving thousands of customers.

Founded by Steijn Pelle (repeat founder, helped Robinhood and Coinbase grow to their first hundreds of millions in annual revenue) and Frédéric Renken (engineer turned first product hire at Superhuman), Lassie is now building out the Series A team. The early team has seen what great looks like before and wants to do it again.

About the role

We're hiring a Founding Growth Lead to build the growth machine that takes Lassie from 600 to 2,500+ customers and from $10M to $50M+ ARR during our Series A. This person will work side-by-side with the founders to find, test, and scale the growth loops that make Lassie the default platform for every doctor's office in the country.

You’re a creative, data-driven, and energetic builder who’s excited to join a fast-growing, early-stage startup in a career-defining role. You’re willing to roll up your sleeves and no task is too small when it helps move the company forward.

You have PLG growth experience,, ideally also reaching product, design, or marketing teams. Prior consulting (management, strategy, or growth) or investment banking experience is a plus.

This role is ideal for someone who is methodical and creative in equal measure, thrives in ambiguity, and wants to build something that transforms an entire industry.

What you'll do
  • Own acquisition metrics end-to-end: pipeline volume, time-to-close, CAC, payback period, and activation rates

  • Discover and prove a core growth loop within your first 12–24 weeks — one with enough scale to acquire 2,500 new customers in a year at a 90-day payback period or less

  • Design and launch a referral engine modeled on consumer-grade programs (think Robinhood) but tuned for tight-knit doctor networks where trust spreads fast

  • Build and operate an AI-powered outbound agent that personalizes messaging from real customer signals and books demos autonomously

  • Use AI tools natively across your workflow - from prospecting to copy generation to data analysis - and pioneer new AI-driven distribution strategies

  • Stand up an affiliate channel so every practice consultant and IT firm in the country is sending doctors to Lassie

  • Run a rigorous experimentation cadence — generate hypotheses, design tests, analyze results, and feed learnings back into the next round

  • Get resourceful - if we need 1,000 personalized emails out tonight, you figure out how to make it happen

  • Partner with engineering and product to instrument funnels, build internal tools, and ship growth features directly into the product

About youExperience
  • Early-stage startup experience

  • At least one clear signal in your background that you were born to do growth - you paid for college doing marketing, you built a side project that went viral, you scaled a channel from zero to meaningful revenue, or something equally compelling

  • Comfort with data: you understand statistical significance, can query a data warehouse yourself, and make decisions based on evidence, not intuition alone

Attributes
  • Methodical & Scientific: You run your work like a series of experiments - hypothesize, test, measure, iterate - and are ruthless about prioritizing the highest-leverage bets

  • Creative: You can generate ten high-quality ideas on the spot and aren't afraid of the unconventional ones

  • First-Principled: You form your own convictions from data and customer signal, hold strong opinions loosely, and aren't easily swayed by consensus

  • Relentless: You handle pressure well, don't give up, and have a competitive streak that makes people want to keep up with you

  • AI-Native: You already use AI tools daily to build and operate — and you're excited to figure out how AI reshapes distribution and growth strategy from the ground up

  • Builder Mentality: Resourceful, scrappy, and energized by building from zero — you'd rather ship something imperfect tonight than plan the perfect thing for next quarter

  • High Integrity: You care about building real value over perception, play long-term games with long-term people, and want to be a lifelong collaborator, not a résumé tourist

Nice to have
  • Growth experience in B2B SaaS

  • Software engineering skills - able to build and ship experiments yourself

  • Strong copywriting ability and good judgment on messaging

  • Ability to sell on a live demo call - if you can pitch effectively in person, you can create great marketing around it
