The Founding Growth Lead will build growth strategies to scale Lassie's customer base and ARR while leveraging AI-driven tools and experimentation.
The summary above was generated by AI

Our mission is to help small businesses run themselves. We’re starting with doctors’ offices, building autonomous systems that handle busywork and complete the workflows that keep the office moving every day. Our team is small, flat, and ambitious. We value craft, intellectual rigor, and direct communication.

About the role

As Lassie's Growth Lead, you'll be responsible for turning customer love into compounding demand. You'll connect product, data, marketing, sales, and customer insight to find the repeatable, scalable channels and messages that help Lassie reach far more doctors' offices efficiently. Think of this role as Lassie's Matt Epstein.

You'll be in strong company. You'll partner directly with Lassie's CEO, who scaled Robinhood's referral program as its first growth lead. On Lassie's cap table, you'll find leading growth operators like Brian Balfour, former VP of Growth at HubSpot and founder of Reforge (one of the most respected growth courses in the industry), or John Egan, an engineering leader with deep growth experience at companies like Anthropic and Pinterest.

What you'll do
  • Own the growth system across acquisition, activation, and retention

  • Use customer insight, data, and experimentation to find the channels and messages that scale

  • Turn what's working into repeatable growth loops

What we're looking for
  • You have 5+ years of experience finding and scaling growth loops

  • You've worked at an early-stage startup

  • You bring rigor of thought: not only did you get a growth loop to work, but you can also articulate what you did and replicate it in a different context

  • You already use AI tools daily to build and operate, and you're excited to figure out how AI reshapes distribution and growth strategy from the ground up

Joining us

To start, you'll have a handful of conversations with our team and founders. If there is mutual excitement, we'll invite you to the office where you'll work on a small project and meet the team.

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
