About Baton AI

Baton AI (getbaton.ai) is building the enterprise automation platform for cross-application workflows. We help solutions engineering and implementation teams automate customer onboarding and product setup, turning customer requirements into executable workflows.

We’re backed by Tier-1 investors, working with enterprise customers, and building toward a broader vision of AI-powered automation across enterprise software.

Role Description

We are hiring a Founding GTM operator to work directly with the founding team as one of our first business hires. You’ll help build the GTM engine and operating foundation for a company defining how AI automates work across enterprise software.

The role starts with a clear focus on GTM: scaling pipeline, accelerating our sales motion, supporting outbound growth, sharpening customer-facing messaging, and building the systems that drive revenue. As Baton grows, your scope will expand across business operations, customer strategy, and company-building.

This is a strong fit for someone who wants a steep learning curve, high ownership, and direct exposure to what it takes to build a fast-growing AI company.

Key ResponsibilitiesGTM

• Partner with the founding team to turn Baton’s sales motion into a repeatable GTM engine across outbound, pipeline generation, content, partnerships, and customer expansion.

• Build the systems and internal tools behind that motion, using AI and automation to eliminate manual work wherever possible.

• Translate customer conversations into sharper messaging, stronger sales collateral, case studies, ROI narratives, and GTM playbooks.

• Keep Baton’s GTM materials sharp and up to date, including messaging, positioning, and internal sales notes.

Strategic Operations

• Take on high-priority projects that sit between functions: define the problem, create the plan, coordinate the right people, and drive the work to completion.

• Act as a trusted extension of the founders by synthesizing context across customers, product, and sales, then turning that context into clear next steps.

• Draft key communications, prep for important meetings, track decisions, and make sure follow-ups actually happen.

What We’re Looking For

2–4 years of experience in startups, consulting, finance, investing, operations, or growth.

Extremely high agency. You don’t wait to be told what to do. You identify what matters, make a plan, and drive it forward.

AI-native and automation-minded. You use AI daily, adopt new models and tools the week they ship, and build your own automations without waiting on engineering.

Sharp communicator. You can turn messy information into a simple narrative.

Analytical and detail-obsessed. You run multiple workstreams without dropping the ball.

Energized by ambiguity. You’re excited about ownership and building from zero to one.

In San Francisco. Excited to work in person with us.

Nice to Have

• Experience at an early-stage B2B SaaS or AI company.

• Exposure to solutions engineering, implementation, professional services, or enterprise software.

• Experience with outbound, partnerships, events, content, or founder-led sales.

Why Join Us

Founding-team impact. Help define our GTM motion, operating systems, and culture from the ground up.

Real ownership early. Take on meaningful scope and a direct line to the founders from day one.

Competitive pay and early equity. Be rewarded for the value you create as we grow.

A front-row seat to company-building. Learn how an enterprise AI startup goes from early traction to scale, faster than anywhere else.

In-person collaboration. We believe the best teams build faster together, and we work in person in San Francisco.
