About Truth Systems

At Truth Systems, we’re building the only trust and safety software any organization will ever need. A protection layer for every individual.

We’re laying that foundation with AI Governance. Our product Charter is an agent that monitors and flags misuse of AI in line with firm policies and client rules in real time. We’re building always-on, real-time systems that keep people safe and organizations compliant without slowing down their work.

We are:

  • Small and well-funded. We’ve raised $4M from world-class investors like Gradient Ventures, Lightspeed, The Legaltech Fund, Y Combinator, and Pear VC. We are currently a team of 4. We are hiring thoughtfully, with ~3 people in the next 6 months.

  • Intensely trustful + high ownership. We optimize for impact per person by requiring high ownership from each team member. We hire experts, ambitious problem-solvers, and generally unstoppable people, and we place a lot of trust in them. We prefer short (or no) meetings, full autonomy, and individualized schedules.

Your Mission

As the Founding GTM Lead, you’ll be our first sales hire and one of the earliest members of the team. You’ll own the full sales cycle, build relationships with top-tier clients, and shape how we bring Truth Systems to market.

This is a hands-on, founder-style role — you’ll work directly with customers, founders, and engineers to drive adoption, shape the roadmap, and define how we sell a new category of trust-and-safety software.

Outcomes
  • Own the Full Sales Cycle: From first outreach to signed contract — prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close.

  • Build Credible Relationships: Sell to teams at top-tier law firms, General Counsels, and innovation leaders at large enterprises — people who expect expertise and trust from day one.

  • Engage and Educate: Become a thought leader on AI, compliance, and innovation in the legal and enterprise world.

  • Deliver Impactful Demos: Understand client workflows, identify high-value use cases, and deliver product demos and commercial proposals that convert.

  • Shape the GTM Motion: Feed market insights back to product and engineering, refine the playbook, and help build a scalable sales machine.

Competencies
  • Proven Enterprise Sales Experience: 3+ years in enterprise or mid-market SaaS sales with a track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.

  • Domain Expertise: Experience selling into professional services (legal, finance, consulting) or other compliance-driven sectors.

  • GRC Familiarity: Background in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) software is a strong plus.

  • Executive Communication: Able to build credibility and trust with C-level executives, innovation leaders, and technical teams.

  • Builder Mindset: Excited to create sales processes, structure, and narrative from the ground up.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating ambiguity and thriving in fast-moving, high-autonomy environments.

  • Polished & Detail-Oriented: Sharp presentation, strong written communication, and attention to the small details that build trust with sophisticated buyers.

Why Join Truth Systems
  • Sell a category-defining product: You’ll help bring to market the first real-time trust and safety layer for enterprise work — software that actively prevents mistakes before they happen. This is a new category, and you’ll shape how the world understands it.

  • Output-focused, not input-focused: We care about impact, not hours. Now that is not to say there will not be days when hours don’t get long, but you’ll be judged by what you deliver and how it moves the needle — not how long you sit in front of a screen.

  • High trust, high ownership. You’ll run your own process, build relationships with top-tier clients, and influence both go-to-market strategy and product direction. We hire people we trust and give them the room to execute like founders.

Logistics
  • Salary: $100K–$200K (OTE)

  • Equity: 0.3–1%

  • Location: In-person in San Francisco, with regular travel to customer sites across the U.S.

  • Perks: Meals, housing/relocation, equipment, and benefits included

  • Work Authorization: We cannot sponsor visas at this time

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
