About Brainbase Labs

We're building the first AI Workforce.

At Brainbase Labs, we work on Applied AI—creating AI Agents that act as employees, taking on roles from front-line conversational support to back-office operational tasks.

We’re looking for an outstanding sales rep, who is singular in their skillset, character, and drive. If you're not afraid to build and execute a sales motion from scratch, this role is for you.

We’re well-funded and backed by top investors, and our team is a multi-national team coming from Harvard, Stanford, Berkeley, and more. We care about results, ownership, and hunger.

We're scaling Brainbase Conversational, a platform designed for teams across industries to build, test, deploy, observe, and autonomously improve conversational agents. We're currently live in over ~150 deployments across automotive, hospitality, and enterprise, and want to build out our sales motion.

About The Role

This is a Founding Sales role for our Brainbase Conversational product. There is no script, process, or systems built—you’re helping build the outbound motion from scratch.

Your job is to generate pipeline. You’ll be on the phones, testing messaging, booking meetings, and feeding real market feedback back into the product and sales motion.

What You'll Do

  • Make 100+ outbound calls per day

  • Set 10+ qualified meetings per week and join demos with our leadership team.

  • Own CRM hygiene and next steps until deals are closed.

  • Rewrite, test, and refine scripts in real time—keep what converts, kill what doesn’t.

  • Learn the conversational agent landscape quickly and speak confidently with founders.

  • Work closely with leadership to iterate on ICP, messaging, and outreach.

  • Work full-time in-person with us in our San Francisco office.

What We're Looking For

  • Resourceful – You’ve been known to get a lot done with very little, whether it is time, money or compute.

  • Resilient – You don’t quit when something is difficult, only when you have realized a better way to do it.

  • Decisive – You can make informed decisions under stress with incomplete data, and move on to the next task (no hedging).

  • L̶i̶k̶e̶ Love difficult problems – You like working at puzzles, chess or anything that you’re not immediately good at.

  • Fun – You can smile/joke/enjoy yourself through the pain and the slog, and can lift up others even when things are objectively not going well.

Why You Should Join: Ownership, Impact, and Growth

We've scaled from $0-$X million in 1 year with no sales team. We'll end this year at $xx million and you'll be the first on that rocketship.

You will have an enormous amount of ownership, play a serious role in our success, and be primed for promotions to an AE and Leadership.

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
