Hellyeah AI - hellyeahai.com

San Francisco Bay Area (You will be building this brand new office with our stellar team as we value your taste)

Hellyeah AI is building AI-native growth and marketing infrastructure for the next generation of fast-growing companies. Founder-led sales help us scale to well over $10m ARR in a few months. We are now looking for a Founding Head of GTM to help us build the 0→1 commercial engine.

This is not a “manage the team and read dashboards” role. This is a builder role for someone who can create pipeline from scratch, shape the category narrative, close early customers, and help define the GTM machine before it exists. We have a fully fledged, AI-native engineering team to help you build the internal AI tools you need to scale. You will work directly with the founder to turn Hellyeah from an early product into a real market movement.

We want a killer.

Someone who can take a product that is early, sharp, and dangerous — and turn it into a real commercial machine.

What you will do

You will own the earliest stages of building a repeatable GTM motion for Hellyeah.

That includes:

  • Defining and refining ICP, wedge, and early customer segments

  • Turning ambiguous market demand into a sharp commercial narrative

  • Building pipeline from zero through outbound, partnerships, founder-led sales, content, community, and creative experiments

  • Running discovery calls, demos, pilots, negotiations, and early expansions yourself

  • Helping shape pricing, packaging, offers, and service-to-product transitions

  • Working closely with product and founder to convert market feedback into roadmap decisions

  • Closing lighthouse customers that become case studies, proof points, and market leverage

  • Building the first repeatable GTM playbook across messaging, motion, channel, and conversion

  • Recruiting and helping onboard the next wave of GTM talent once the motion starts to work

Who this role is for

This role is for someone who wants to build, not inherit. You might be a former founding AE, first revenue hire, hybrid growth-and-sales operator, or ex-founder with very strong commercial instincts. You know how to sell products that are new, imperfect, and not yet fully understood by the market.

You are excited by AI and what is possible with it. You do not wait for a fully formed brand, mature playbook, or big team before moving. You know how to get signal from messy environments and turn that into traction. You care about pipeline, customers, and revenue. You are channel-agnostic and outcome-driven.

What we are looking for
  • Proven experience building pipeline from near zero

  • Strong ability to sell emerging or non-obvious products

  • Excellent discovery, storytelling, objection handling, and closing skills

  • Ability to personally operate across the full funnel, from cold outreach to close

  • Strong instinct for ICP definition, messaging, and commercial positioning

  • Experience working in fast-moving startup environments

  • High urgency, high ownership, and strong founder compatibility

  • Comfort with experimentation, iteration, and imperfect conditions

Strong plus if you have
  • Experience selling into founders, growth leaders, CMOs, or revenue leaders

  • Experience in SaaS, AI, marketing technology, or growth infrastructure

  • Experience productizing custom work or early services into repeatable offers

  • Experience helping define category narrative for a new market

  • Prior experience as a founder or early operator at a high-growth company

  • Experience in any AI companies.

What success looks like

In the first 3 to 6 months, success looks like:

  • Build out a fully functional GTM team with multiple offices across US.

  • Scale from $10m ARR to $100m ARR.

What this is not

This is not a late-stage VP Sales role. This is not a role for someone who only knows how to manage large teams, operate mature funnels, or depend on heavy existing demand gen infrastructure. This is a 0→1 role for a builder who wants to help invent the machine.

Why join
  1. Head by seasoned startup operators including previous global head of growth at Bytedance.

  2. Backed by top investors in the valley.

  3. Founder led sales already surpassed $10m.

  4. Super competitive pay and significant equity.
