Lead brand and narrative strategy for an AI-native electric trucking carrier. Build and run a full content engine, own PR/analyst relations and agency management, support commercial and fundraising conversations, strengthen employer brand, and scale the marketing team while using AI tools as core infrastructure.

About Nevoya:

Nevoya is North America's leading next-generation electric trucking carrier, transforming logistics through AI-native operations and relentless customer focus. The company builds and uses proprietary technology to deliver zero-emissions carrier services to Fortune 500 shippers with superior economics and service to legacy diesel operators. The company has operations in California and Texas, and is backed by globally-renowned investors including Lowercarbon Capital.

About The Role:

We are looking for a Founding Head of Marketing to build our brand and public narrative from the ground up. This is a single owner, founding role reporting to our Cofounder and CCO, with a clear path to building out a team as the company grows. The mandate is brand and narrative first, not lead generation. Our commercial fundamentals are already strong. We have built a large active pipeline with no outbound, and count Fortune 500 companies among our customers.

The ideal candidate will own the full narrative and content engine end to end, from positioning through production, while running the function in a genuinely AI native way.

This is a hybrid role - 3 days a week in office in San Francisco.

What You'll Own:
  • Brand and category narrative. Nevoya's positioning, voice, and story and how they evolve.

  • The content engine, end to end. Strategy through production including thought leadership, case studies, LinkedIn, video, whatever the story needs. Not a calendar of ad-hoc posts, but a system that runs consistently and compounds.

  • Earned media, PR, and analyst relations. You own the press strategy and the agency relationships that support it, and hold whoever we work with to a real standard.

  • Brand in service of the business. Content and narrative work that directly supports live commercial conversations and fundraising.

  • Founder time. Every panel prep, press response, and content draft becomes something you build out.

  • The AI-native operating model. You run this function the way Nevoya runs its trucks. AI as core infrastructure for drafting, editing, research, and production, not a tool you reach for occasionally.

  • The team, eventually. You're the whole function on day one. As the narrative engine proves itself, you build out the people who help you run it.

What You'll Bring To The Table:
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in marketing or brand, ideally as the first marketing or brand hire at a Series A stage climate tech, deep tech company, or category-defining B2B company.

  • A track record of building a narrative and positioning system from zero and managing agencies with real accountability.

  • Demonstrable brand and narrative craft, with work you can show rather than just describe.

  • A genuinely AI native operating style, using AI tools as core infrastructure today rather than as an aspiration.

  • Comfort being the entire function in the early stage, with the ability to scale into a team lead role later.

  • Strong writing skills and a real feel for brand voice.

Desired Experience:
  • Logistics, supply chain, freight, or broader industrial B2B marketing background.

  • Fluency in enterprise, executive and investor communications.

  • Direct experience marketing a company through a fundraise.

At Nevoya, we believe diverse teams build better solutions.

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all employees. We consider all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.

If you're excited about our mission but your experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be the right candidate for this or another role.
