Outsmart is a mission-driven, early-stage startup reimagining higher education for the age of AI by creating an entirely new collegiate experience that expands access and opportunity. Backed by $38M from top venture firms including Khosla Ventures, Forerunner, DST Global Partners, and Lightspeed, the company is led by former Duolingo executives and a founding team that also includes Emmy Award winners. With a strong culture centered around high-impact, detail-oriented team members, Outsmart is already seeing significant traction, generating 1–5 million weekly organic views on social media.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Your biggest job is simple: help us find repeatable ways to grow Outsmart. You’ll look across channels, identify opportunities, form hypotheses, and test them quickly and scrappily. That will include owning PR and finding ways to earn free and scalable attention, developing and running creator strategies, building our YouTube presence, and whatever else you discover.

  • We don’t expect you to be an expert in every marketing discipline. We do expect you to be curious enough to figure things out, resourceful enough to start without a playbook, and hands-on enough to execute.

What You’ll Own

  • Growth: DAU will be your north star metric.

  • Reputation: in our industry trust and credibility matter greatly, and you’ll help shape how students, parents, educators, and institutions understand and perceive Outsmart.

Who You Are

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing in consumer technology.

  • Built and scaled organic or viral growth for a fast growth consumer product.

What Helps You Succeed

  • Strong instincts for Gen Z.

  • Strong analytical instincts, you care about ideas, but even more about their impact.

  • The ability to move comfortably between strategy and execution including dealing with ambiguity.

  • Curiosity and intellectual drive.

Salary Range: $175K-$235K

Perks

  • Competitive salary, equity, and benefits

  • Healthcare for you and your dependents (medical, dental, and vision)

  • Parental leave for any full-time employee (birthing, non-birthing, and adoptive parents)

  • 15 PTO days per year, a winter break, and 12+ paid company holidays per year

  • Remote work days

  • Lunch provided in-office daily

  • Working with super talented people who want to make a difference in the world

Outsmart is committed to building an equitable and inclusive workplace and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
