About the Role:
 

We are building a modern legal operation powered by AI and technology-first workflows. We are hiring a Founding Paralegal to support high-volume contracting and operational functions across a growing commercial client base. This role is designed for someone who is comfortable operating at the intersection of law, operations, technology, and administrative support.

You will handle day-to-day contract review and execution while actively supporting the broader operational needs of the team. This is a hands-on startup role where speed, adaptability, and ownership matter. You will not just provide traditional paralegal support—you will help shape how legal and operational work is done.

This role offers meaningful mentorship from senior legal leadership, exposure to diverse business functions, and the opportunity to grow with an AI-enabled legal operation from the ground up.

What You'll Do

Contract and Legal Support

  • Review, draft, and process a range of standard agreements, with focus on NDAs
  • Support review of commercial agreements, including:
    • Vendor and supplier agreements
    • SaaS, DPAs and technology agreements
    • Master Services Agreements and Statements of Work
  • Use proprietary legal technology to manage document workflow with speed and consistency
  • Flag potential legal issues for attorney review
  • Maintain organized contract files and databases

Administrative and Operational Support

  • Coordinate scheduling, meetings, and calendaring
  • Manage filing and documentation systems
  • Assist with data entry, reporting, billing, and basic data analysis
  • Support recruiting and onboarding processes
  • Help implement and optimize operational systems
  • Assist with cross-functional projects as needed

AI and Technology Adoption

  • Actively use AI tools in daily contract review and workflow execution
  • Provide feedback on AI tools and technology platforms
  • Help test new operational systems and processes
  • Document best practices and standard operating procedures

What We're Looking For

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • 1-5 years of paralegal, legal assistant, or relevant operational experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
