What We’re Looking For
Location: San Francisco, CA. This role is based out of our San Francisco HQ and is not eligible for full-time remote work.
Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is $150,000–$220,000 based on level in addition to equity & benefits
At FurtherAI, we’re building the next generation of AI agents for the insurance industry - a trillion-dollar market ready for transformation.
We’ve raised a $5M seed round from top investors (YC, Nexus, South Park Commons, Converge) and have grown 10x in revenue this year alone. Our customers include some of the largest names in insurance (we recently closed a top 5 insurance company in the world), and our team combines deep AI expertise with proven company-building experience.
Now, we’re looking for a Founding Product Designer to define our design culture and own the end-to-end product experience. B2B software is notoriously clunky. We believe it should be delightful, intuitive, and joyful.
- Design at the Center: Most B2B software is clunky and uninspiring. We want to change that by building experiences that are not just functional, but genuinely joyful to use.
- Rocketship Growth: Post-PMF, with revenue growing at an exceptional pace.
- Elite Team: Founding team includes ex-Apple AI Research, 4 ex-YC founders, and 6 ex-founders. Engineers have prior experience at Apple, Microsoft, Google, and Amazon.
- Massive Market Impact: Insurance is the backbone of global commerce - our work reshapes how this industry operates.
- Define UX for the AI Era: Nobody has truly figured out how to communicate AI outputs to non-technical users in a clear, trustworthy way. You’ll help invent those patterns and set the standard for the industry.
- Founder’s Mindset: Perfect fit if you want to own big pieces of the product and possibly start your own company in the future.
- Own the entire product design process: user journeys, interaction design, and visual language.
- Partner with engineering and product to bring complex workflows into simple, intuitive experiences.
- Build a cohesive design system that will scale across products.
- Shape and nurture the design culture at FurtherAI.
- Work in-person from our San Francisco office (5 day week).
- 5+ years designing products.
- Proven ability to turn complex user problems into elegant solutions
- Strong communication skills - able to clearly explain design decisions
- Bonus: experience in consumer/prosumer startups
- Above all: drive, grit, and ownership. If you excel here, other requirements are secondary
At FurtherAI, we set a high bar. We’re not looking for someone who just wants a job - we’re looking for someone who wants to design something iconic. If you thrive in environments where pace is fast, expectations are high, and your work sets the tone for everything that follows, you’ll love it here.
