Join Us in Building the Future of Digital Work

At Sola, we’re transforming the way work is done. We’re developing AI agents that make powerful automation effortless, enabling any user to record a workflow and instantly scale it up to millions of executions.

Sola today powers enterprise workflows in Fortune 100 companies, with a horizontal platform that works across healthcare, finance, legal, logistics, and more. We’ve raised $21M in funding from a16z, Conviction (Sarah Guo), and Y Combinator, and are looking for passionate builders to help us continue to scale.

If you’re interested in being on the forefront of agentic automation, we’d love to hear from you!

What to expect

Our goal is to bring Figma-level UI/UX excellence to enterprise AI workflow automation. Sola's automations run in real enterprise environments under complex constraints: they need to be intelligent and self-directed, but also predictable and consistent.

The questions you'll own are at the forefront of AI today:

  • From the execution perspective, what should an agent be trusted to do, where does a human stay in the loop, and how do we make non-deterministic models operate reliably at scale?

  • From the building perspective, how can we make automation at scale easy for users in the world’s largest enterprises? How do we make enterprise automation feel as intuitive and elegant as the best consumer and creative tools? How do we design experiences that help non-technical users understand complex workflows, collaborate across teams, and trust AI doing real work on their behalf?

As our first dedicated product hire, you'll partner closely with our CEO and Head of Engineering to turn a fast-moving space into a clear, opinionated roadmap, own features end-to-end from customer problem to shipped product, and help define not just what we build but how we do product as the team grows. This is a job for a builder, not a backlog manager.

We work in person at our NYC HQ, and you'll work directly with the founders to help shape the company's future.

What you'll do
  • Partner with our CEO, design, and engineering to set product strategy and own the roadmap, balancing near-term needs with long-term vision.

  • Drive features end-to-end: requirements, crisp specs, stakeholder alignment, and keeping design, engineering, and go-to-market in lockstep.

  • Talk to users constantly, turning their pain points into a clear sense of what's most valuable to build next.

What we're looking for
  • Sharp product judgment paired with genuine design taste: a high bar for elegant, simple user experiences, and the instinct to sweat the details.

  • Enough technical fluency to go deep on a genuinely technical product domain and partner with engineering as a peer.

  • A clear, concise communicator who brings structure to ambiguity and can represent both users and engineering tradeoffs to any audience.

  • AI fluency: you explore and prototype with the latest AI tools, and you can reason about model capabilities well enough to make product calls.

  • You're open to working 5 days a week out of our office in NYC (we'll cover relocation!)

Why Sola
  • $21M raised from top-tier VCs (a16z, Conviction, YCombinator) and growing incredibly fast

  • Proven traction with Fortune 100 customers, with horizontal applicability across a variety of domains (including finance, healthcare, legal, logistics, and more)

  • Leading-edge agentic AI tech, solving deep problems in partnership with the AI labs (ex. Anthropic, AWS AGI Lab)

  • Small team, early stage, with an opportunity for outsized impact on the company’s future

  • Work closely with founders Jessica Wu (ex-Citadel, Thrive Capital) and Neil Deshmukh (MIT Quest for Intelligence Lab), alongside David Fullerton (ex-CTO Heap, Stack Overflow)

Compensation & Benefits

Sola offers competitive salary plus meaningful equity at Series A stage. Exact compensation is based on experience and level.

We offer comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401(k) matching, daily meals together in the office, flexible PTO (4 weeks per year), and relocation support for candidates not already based in NYC.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
