Highlight is building a shared intelligence layer for the modern workforce. Highlight unifies context across every person and tool on your team, seamlessly bridging information silos. It evolves with your organization to proactively route knowledge and reliably automate workflows.

The Role

We are looking for a strategic, high-velocity founding Product Marketer to own the narrative and messaging for Highlight. You will be the bridge between our product’s technical capabilities and the real-world problems of our users.

This is a "player-coach" role. You’ll be responsible for everything from high-level brand narrative and positioning to the granular execution of sales enablement and launch plans. You should be comfortable moving from a board-level strategy deck to writing a UI tooltip in the same afternoon.

You'll work directly with Sergei Sorokin (CEO) and the founding team. You'll own the narrative of Highlight AI in market, from how we describe ourselves on the website to how we show up in a competitive deal.

What You'll Do
  • Positioning & Messaging: Refine and evolve the Highlight AI narrative. You will find ways and channels to clearly articulate our product, optimizing as you go.

  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Lead the launch of new features and products. You'll define target segments, pricing strategies, marketing messaging and distribution channels.

  • Sales & Success Enablement: Create the "toolkit" for our front-line teams, including pitch decks, case studies, product one-pagers, and competitive battlecards.

  • Customer Insights & Community: Be the voice of the customer. Conduct interviews and analyze usage data to influence the product roadmap and identify new growth opportunities. You also will own the Highlight community by managing our design partners, testers, discord server, do outbound messaging like change logs and drip email campaigns.

Profile

We’re looking for someone who is interested in building the AI user experience for the future. We punch above our weight so we value extreme ownership, accountability, and proactiveness.

You are a good fit if you have:

  • 4–8+ years of experience in product marketing ideally at a B2B SaaS or AI startup

  • Strong product marketing instincts. You understand positioning, competitive dynamics, and how to translate product capabilities into customer value

  • Exceptional writing and narrative craft. You can tell a compelling story, and you can tell your own; your portfolio or writing samples should speak for themselves

  • Customer obsession. You default to talking to customers before making assumptions; you know how to run a discovery conversation and synthesize what you hear

  • Comfort with ambiguity. You've worked in a small, fast-moving team before; you know how to prioritize when everything feels urgent

  • Full-Stack Marketing Mindset. While PMM is your home, you have a solid understanding of demand gen, content strategy, and brand.

  • Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate

Nice to Have
  • Experience marketing an AI, productivity, or collaboration product

  • Familiarity with the enterprise or SMB knowledge management / workflow automation space

  • Experience with message testing tools (e.g., Wynter, Positly) or A/B testing frameworks

  • Experience working directly with a founder or CEO on brand and narrative

Perks
  • Competitive salary and generous equity package

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • Flexible PTO and parental leave

  • Paid team lunches and dinners during the week

  • Relocation package
