Formance builds open-source ledger infrastructure for companies that move money across fiat, crypto and payment rails. Engineering teams use it to track, route and reconcile funds without building their own ledger from scratch.

We are a team of about 30 people across New York and Europe. We went through Y Combinator (S21) and raised a $21M Series A led by PayPal Ventures in 2025.

Why this role exists

Our US go-to-market team is growing, and we have ambitious plans for the next stage. The people we hire are specialized: Account Executives and Solutions Engineers who can sell technical infrastructure to engineering leaders. Finding them takes a targeted approach. This role puts that work at the center of our growth.

What you will do

  • Own the full recruiting cycle for our US go-to-market roles, from intake with hiring managers to signed offer. At Formance, go-to-market covers Sales, Solutions, Marketing and Partnerships. Your first focus will be Account Executives and Solutions Engineers.

  • Build pipelines across every channel: our US employer brand, events, referrals and outbound sourcing.

  • Turn hiring needs into clear scorecards and interview plans with hiring managers, and push back when a role is unclear or the bar slips.

  • Run screens, check candidates' track records (quota, deal size, buyer profile) and prepare offers with the hiring team.

  • Track funnel metrics in Ashby and share a weekly pipeline update.

  • Build our US hiring playbook: how we source, assess and close candidates, and how we measure it.

  • Manage employee referrals and external recruiting partners when needed.

You will work directly with our leadership team and hiring managers.

What we are looking for

  • 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in-house at a startup or scale-up.

  • A track record of hiring quota-carrying roles, such as Account Executives, BDRs or SDRs. You can back it up with numbers.

  • Hands-on outbound sourcing experience. You have built pipelines from passive candidates, not only from inbound applications.

  • The ability to run several searches in parallel and to work with hiring managers as a peer.

  • Based in New York and authorized to work in the US.

Nice to have

  • Experience in fintech, payments, SaaS or financial infrastructure.

  • Experience hiring technical sales profiles (Solutions Engineers, Sales Engineers).

  • Experience with Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox or similar tools.

  • You already use AI tools in your sourcing and recruiting workflows.

What we offer

  • $150,000 + equity

  • Ownership of US go-to-market recruiting as our first US-based recruiter, with direct access to leadership.

  • The chance to build hiring for complex, technical sales roles at a fintech infrastructure company.

  • Medical, Dental, Vision; basic medical plans 100% covered / Health insurance

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Annual team offsite in Europe
