The last major technological shift - the rise of the consumer internet - created LinkedIn as the networked winner in recruitment. The next great shift is here. AI is transforming how people and companies connect and it will redefine the global labor market.
At Jack & Jill, we are building the company that leads this transformation.
We’re a year old, have released two agentic products (Jack and Jill), have built a brilliant team of Europe’s best engineers, operators and ex founders, and have raised $20M, led by tier-1 VC Creandum (Lovable, Spotify, Black Forest Labs) Read more on TechCrunch.
In the coming years, every knowledge worker will have an AI agent managing their career, and every company will have an AI agent helping them hire.
By connecting those agents, we’re building a new infrastructure for the future of the labor market itself.
If that vision excites you, come help us build it.
Meet Jack & JillWe are not putting a thin AI layer on broken processes. We are rebuilding from first principles with two dedicated agents who work for their users:
Jack, for candidates: An always-on career co-pilot. Jack starts with a deep conversation to understand who you are and what you really want. He provides market insights, coaching, and companionship.
Jill, for companies: A true AI talent partner. Jill goes far beyond a job description to deeply understand your company, your culture, and the real context behind a role. She sources candidates, reviews inbound applicants, conducts first-pass screening calls, and acts as a strategic thought partner.
Jack & Jill will not just disrupt the existing recruitment software market, but also the 10x bigger recruitment services market.
We’re moving at breakneck speedWe’re a year old, and already built two remarkable products, have 150,000+ candidates using Jack, hundreds of paying customers signed up to Jill and built a spectacular early team. The technology is ready and 10x better than the status quo – we need to build and execute at a relentless speed to build on this early momentum and bring it to the world as fast as we can.
We have thousands of users having an incredible experiences with Jack & Jill:

We're hiring our second Founding Launch Lead in San Francisco, joining Bruno Cunha to build the US commercial engine from scratch.
The immediate job is acquisition: get SF-headquartered startups onto the platform. That means working rooms, running events, doing outbound, talking to founders, and converting relationships into sign-ups. Bruno owns partnerships and the VC ecosystem. We're open to this hire being complementary - bringing a different spike entirely - but equally open to doubling down if the right ecosystem operator shows up. We explicitly look for “T-shaped” operators - you should be great at a lot of things, and genuinely incredible at a one or two things. These are your spikes.
We don't prescribe what the spike is. It could be community, events, VC ecosystem connections, ex-founder hustle, influencer marketing, growth hacking, or something we haven't named. What matters is that it exists, that it's proven, and that you can explain how it drives acquisition in SF.
Jack & Jill is ~20 people, $20m raised, headquartered in London (8 hours ahead of SF). This person operates independently, reports into the founding team, and builds the playbook as they go.
Who We're Looking ForWe're not prescriptive about background. Great candidates come from everywhere. However, we believe the following backgrounds + experiences will index highest on success in this role:
The VC platform or ecosystem lead - Associate to Partner level, strong SF relationships, ready to cross into an operating role and build something from scratch
The community builder or events operator - you've turned a personal network into a pipeline machine, you host rooms not just attend them, and you know how to convert a conversation into a customer
The growth or GTM operator - you've built top-of-funnel from zero at an early-stage startup, written your own sequences, and can point to numbers that prove it worked
The ex-founder - YC, EF, or otherwise, looking for your next thing. Your hustle is the spike. You know how to open doors, you're comfortable with zero infrastructure, and you have the commercial instincts to close
The unconventional spike - influencer marketing, growth hacking, internal talent acquisition turned startup operator, or something else entirely. We don't prescribe it. If you've found a lever that moves a business and can prove it works in SF, we want to hear from you
If none of these sound exactly like you but you have genuine SF roots, a real spike, and strong commercial instincts - apply anyway.
Must HavesSF ecosystem roots - genuine network, not surface familiarity. You know founders, operators, and investors by name and they pick up when you call
A real spike - one thing you're genuinely dangerous at. You can name it, prove it, and explain how you'd deploy it in SF
Commercial instincts - you understand that pipeline is the output, not the activity. Every event, conversation, and campaign connects back to sign-ups
Zero-to-one operator - you've built something from scratch with no playbook and no support. You do the dirty work yourself
Bias to action - you execute first and refine. You don't spend a day building the deck before picking up the phone
Autonomous by default - the core team is in London, 8 hours ahead. You don't wait to be told what to do on a Monday morning
Experience as the first person in a community, platform, or partnerships function - you built the motion before anyone else had tried
Founding experience is additive - a high-proportion of our team are ex-founders themselves
Warm relationships with SF-based seed and Series A investors that you can activate from day one
Experience at a hypergrowth SF startup during an early scaling phase - you know what good looks like and you've lived the chaos
Background in talent acquisition or HR tech - you understand the product category from the inside and can speak the language of the buyers
Comp: $180k–$300k total package, flexible on cash/equity split
Location: San Francisco, hybrid in-office
Initial screen: 20 - 30 mins with Ben Norton (Ada Ventures, one of our investors)
Interview: Kaoru Fujita (hiring lead)
Day trial: In San Francisco with the broader team - Matt, Bruno, and Kaoru where schedules align
Right to work: US right to work strongly preferred. Visa sponsorship is possible in exceptional cases but will slow the process - please flag early if relevant
