About Redcar
Redcar is on a mission to make every professional superhuman. And today, we make world’s most trusted AI Sales Agents.

We’re rapidly scaling AI Agents trusted by humans and the data environments where they work, and we're looking for an amazing Founding Engineer to join us. Our AI Engine, based on Stanford research, blends traditional engineering and LLMs to run trusted workflows at internet scale. Our customers, from billion-dollar companies to YC startups, rely on our agents daily for high-stakes sales work. You’ll have significant ownership, ship incredibly quickly, and work directly with users.

We are backed by Khosla Ventures (OpenAI, DoorDash, Affirm, Commonwealth Fusion, read more here and here) and a long list of amazing angels. We're scaling toward seven-figure revenues and are relentlessly working towards building the next unicorn company amid this AI Agent revolution. You'll be joining a fast-growing team in San Francisco, the AI Mecca of the world.

About the Role
As a part of our founding team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our company’s future. This is your chance to be part of a rocketship, working directly with seasoned founders, including Jeff Chen who has successfully exited two startups to Google and Zynga.

You Will
• Lead critical engineering projects by designing and developing complex, large-scale systems using our primary tech stack
• Bridge the gap between traditional Large Language Models (LLMs) and fully functional AI agents, solving some of the most challenging problems in the industry
• Collaborate closely with the founding team to innovate and drive substantial impact, building large and complex systems in one-third the time most competent people think is possible
• Be a cornerstone member of the founding team and play a direct role in revolutionizing the world with AI Agents
• Participate in a fast-paced environment with a clear path to making a tangible impact on a global scale

We’re Looking For
Must Haves:
• Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python
• Ability to learn new technologies and frameworks at an accelerated pace
• Proven track record of designing and building large and complex systems efficiently
• BS or MS in Engineering from a top-tier four-year college in the US
• Extensive experience with MVC architectures such as NestJS or Django
• Graduated top 10% of class

Great to Haves:
• Familiarity with microservices architectures
• Experience in startup environments, thriving in agile and dynamic settings

Technology
• At Redcar, you’ll work on AgentExpress, our proprietary AI agent platform. Our tech stack includes TypeScript, Node.js, and various cutting-edge technologies tailored to enhance our AI capabilities and product offerings
• If you’re ready to be part of the next industrial revolution and think you have what it takes to help us turn ambitious goals into reality, apply today and let's pioneer the future

Compensation
  • Salary: $120k - $200k
  • Equity: 0.5% - 1%
  • Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Perks: 3 weeks PTO, unlimited sick days, and a super collaborative team culture
