Sample Healthcare

Sample transforms healthcare operations from a burden into a competitive advantage. The US leads the world in first launches of new treatments, yet our healthcare system sees clinicians spending 73% of their time on administrative work – we're on a mission to eliminate this friction that's choking America's engine of medical progress. We work with leading national providers, already have data from 75% of US oncology clinics, and our network is rapidly expanding across the nation.

Why this matters

Healthcare in America faces an existential challenge. As our population ages and chronic conditions multiply, clinicians and administrators shoulder an ever-growing burden under razor-thin margins. This administrative friction isn't just inefficient – it's dangerous. It leads to delayed diagnoses, missed treatments, and clinician burnout. As the pace of scientific discovery accelerates, maintaining America's role as the crucible of modern medicine depends on fixing these operational challenges.

Our product

We've built a platform that enables healthcare providers to create their own AI copilots, automating and accelerating their most critical operations. These copilots don't just speed up work – they capture valuable ground-truth data that makes our models smarter over time. As providers start using Sample, they become part of a network which can support patients across their specialists and support clinical research. Our rapid growth – hitting Series A revenue metrics just 10 months from day 1 – shows we're onto something big.

The opportunity

We’re building a generational company. As a founding member of the team, you’ll face healthcare's most important problems and be given the freedom to solve them. Here are some of the things you’ll do:

  1. Understand the market - map and prioritize a complex and fast-moving healthcare landscape

  2. Own TOFU - identify, plan, and represent Sample at key industry conferences

  3. Drive early commercial strategy - own account relationships where you’ll act as part-CSM, part-PM, and part-strategist

  4. Help customers deploy Sample in production - you’ll likely do this in partnership with engineering as you translate messy workflows into real outcomes using our copilot platform

Who we're looking for

We're building a world-class team who are:

  • Technically brilliant – you solve hard problems with elegant solutions

  • Intensely curious – you dig deep to understand root causes, not just symptoms

  • Delightful to work with – you make the team better by being part of it

Our founders were early engineers at companies like Retool (engineer #9) and Ambience Healthcare (first employee), so we know the value of investing early in great talent.

In addition to the above, to thrive in Strategy & Ops here you will be:

  • An excellent communicator – you’ll be representing Sample in C-level conversations with large healthcare enterprises

  • Relentlessly resourceful – you’ll be one of the first on the ground, and we’ll rely on your ability to figure things out fast

  • Structured and scrappy – you know when to zoom out and build a strategy, and when to roll up your sleeves and get things done

  • Analytical and systems-oriented – bonus if you have technical experience (even SQL knowledge or similar) and can think through technical implementation

  • Passionate about fixing healthcare – ideally with pre-existing knowledge of the healthcare market

You likely come from consulting, an early-stage startup, or the healthcare industry. What's non-negotiable is your ability to own problems end-to-end – from figuring out what matters to making sure it gets done.

We're hiring across levels, and the scope of your role will grow with your experience. We're in-person in San Francisco, and this role is core to the company’s next chapter.

We look forward to hearing from you, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out at [email protected]
