Lead FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting, variance and cash forecasting analysis, management and investor reporting, cost accounting, audits, and financial controls; partner with senior leadership and project controls.
Summary
T2S Solutions is currently seeking to hire a highly skilled and experienced FP&A Director to join our Corporate Accounting / Finance Team in Belcamp, MD. The critical role is responsible for driving alignment between financial planning & analysis and project controls ensuring critical FP&A information, insight, and status. This role has high visibility and regular interaction with senior leadership and C-Suite personnel.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting process, as well as ongoing forecast efforts to enable the organization to deliver on key objectives
- Responsible for financial reporting, including monthly comparison of actual vs. budget results and relevant variance analysis, in a timely and accurate manner
- Create monthly reporting packages for management and private equity sponsor
- Monitor weekly cash forecasting tool
- Perform comprehensive financial analyses, including variance analysis and trend analysis, to evaluate performance and identify opportunities
- Proactively drive business performance and results analyses and provide informed recommendations
- Develop and implement fiscal operating budgets, policies and procedures
- Develop, implement, and administer financial records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, and government regulations through subordinate analysts
- Develop and administer cost accounting and financial management systems
- Develop, monitor, and distribute to management essential financial operating budgets, reports and forecasts to senior leadership
- Review annual and intermediate budgets periodically to analyze trends affecting budget needs
- Responsible for negotiating allowable overhead with government
- Responsible for developing financial management data reflecting financial condition and operating results
- Coordinate quarterly reviews, annual audits, and consolidate financial statements with independent auditors
- Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting and collection procedures, investment activities, and make recommendations for changes to procedures, operating systems, budgets, and other financial control functions
Qualifications
- Bachelors or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 10+ years of FP&A experience
- Proven success as an FP&A leader in a high growth environment
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills and solutions-oriented mindset
- Strong working knowledge of Deltek CostPoint, advanced MS Excel skills, and strong technical accounting research experience required
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences, including executive leadership and industry representatives
