Physical AI at Toloka

Toloka is expanding into Physical AI, applying our experience in large-scale AI data collection to systems that interact with the physical world. We collect and produce real-world data across egocentric and exocentric video, human demonstrations, teleoperation, and multisensory data.

About the Role

Frontier AI companies partner with Toloka to build the data behind frontier AI systems. As a Freelance AI Data Project Manager on our Physical AI team, you will:

  • Own and scale Physical AI data collection programs from pilot to production.
  • Work directly with researchers and technical teams at leading AI labs.
  • Lead global operations across egocentric, exocentric, teleoperation, and multisensory data.
  • Coordinate engineering, hardware, supply, quality, and contributor networks to deliver against ambitious quality, throughput, cost, and timeline targets.

This is a hands-on role for someone excited by frontier AI, fast iteration, and a fast-paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the end-to-end execution of complex Physical AI data projects.
  • Build deep client relationships with researchers and technical teams at frontier AI companies.
  • Orchestrate the work of thousands of contributors and collection partners across global markets.
  • Own data quality, throughput, delivery timelines, and unit economics.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, supply, quality, analytics, and operations.
  • Ensure high-quality execution under fast-moving requirements and demanding timelines.
  • Build and improve the processes needed to take new data programs from pilot to global scale.

What You Bring

  • Mindset: High ownership, bias for action, comfort with ambiguity, and energy for a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience: Proven success in startups, technology, consulting, operations, or other demanding environments.
  • Analytical ability: Strong problem-solving skills; comfortable using data to diagnose issues, make trade-offs, and drive decisions.
  • Communication: Clear, confident communicator who can work effectively with technical teams, senior stakeholders, and customers.
  • Pace: Customer requests are often time-sensitive, with aggressive timelines that require rapid execution, quick iteration, and the ability to adapt as requirements change.

What we can offer

  • Compensation: $60 - $80 / hour
  • You’ll also be working on projects with customers that are AI industry leaders and well-known household names.
  • Fully remote
