We’re Jubilee Media.

At Jubilee, we're on a mission to provoke understanding and create human connection. We explore experiences that push people to feel more, think more, and see more in others. We challenge the belief of a black-and-white world, and instead embrace the complexity and richness of our experiences. By magnifying these stories we can discover personal identities, shared truths, and how we fit in the overarching human story. People are at the heart of everything we do, and we're looking for the next passionate teammate to join us on this journey. Together, we have the power to shift perspectives—and maybe even change the world.

About This Role
We’re hiring a freelance Thumbnail Designer who understands the competitive landscape of YouTube and designs accordingly! As our Freelance Thumbnail designer, you will concept and execute thumbnails within established show branding and layout systems, bringing each episode to life through strong photo selection, framing, typography, contrast, and visual tension. You know how to create clarity in a crowded feed and how to push curiosity without drifting into clickbait.

This role requires both creative instinct and performance awareness. You should understand how audiences scan, compare, and choose in-feed, and how small visual decisions can materially impact CTR.

What You’ll Do:

  • Concept and design multiple thumbnail directions per episode
  • Execute within existing series templates and brand systems
  • Create thoughtful A/B variations with clear testable differences
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Creative teams to align on positioning and test hypotheses
  • Iterate quickly based on performance data
  • Maintain consistency across recurring formats while keeping visuals fresh

Who You Are:

  • You have 3+ years designing thumbnails for scaled YouTube channels
  • You understand what drives clicks in competitive recommendation environments
  • You design with data in mind, not just aesthetics
  • You can clearly articulate why one variation may outperform another
  • You move quickly and are comfortable with high weekly volume
  • You understand Gen Z visual language and internet-native pacing

Portfolio Submissions

  • Please submit a portfolio with YouTube thumbnail examples
  • Include any A/B test variations you’ve designed

Compensation & Perks

  • Competitive Compensation  –  $600-$900 per month
