Overview: Building High-Performance User Experiences

The Frontend Engineer is essential for bringing our supply chain e-commerce vision to life by building high-performance, responsive, and accessible user interfaces. You will be responsible for developing the frontend applications for our diverse product ecosystem, including the customer-facing e-commerce storefront, the sophisticated B2B portal, and critical internal tools (collaboration, project management).

Key Responsibilities & Core Projects

You will own the client-side development, ensuring optimal user experience and front-end architectural quality.

  • UI Development & Implementation: Build and maintain user interfaces for multiple products using Next.js 14, React 18, and TypeScript. This includes the e-commerce flows (catalog, cart, checkout) and the complex interfaces for the internal WMS and OMS modules.

  • Design System & Accessibility: Implement components using Tailwind CSS and Radix UI to ensure visual consistency, performance, and adherence to WCAG accessibility standards.

  • Performance Optimization: Aggressively optimize frontend performance, focusing on fast page loads, core web vitals, and minimizing render blocking. Implement state management and use Framer Motion for smooth, optimized animations.

  • Testing & Experimentation: Conduct usability testing and build out the necessary architecture to support A/B testing on new features, such as checkout flow variations or personalization logic.

  • Monorepo Collaboration: Work within the Monorepo structure, collaborating closely with Backend Engineers to define and consume API contracts efficiently.

Required Technologies & Tools

Candidates must possess deep expertise and hands-on experience with our core frontend stack:

  • Core Stack: Expert proficiency in Next.js 14, React 18, and TypeScript (mandatory).

  • Styling & Components: Strong experience with Tailwind CSS and building accessible components with Radix UI.

  • Animation/UX: Experience implementing complex, high-performance UI/UX using Framer Motion.

  • Workflow: Experience working in a large Monorepo environment and consuming REST/GraphQL APIs from a Node.js/NestJS backend.

  • Testing: Experience with modern E2E and unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jest/Playwright).

AI Agent Focus

You will design the user experience for interacting with intelligent systems.

  • Agent Interfaces: Build the frontend interfaces (e.g., chat widgets, data visualization panels) for interacting with and receiving output from the AI agents.

  • Real-time Feedback: Implement real-time data streaming and error handling to provide immediate feedback to users engaging with the AI-powered customer support or workflow optimization tools.

Success Metrics & Career Path

Performance will be measured by:

  • Performance Metrics: Achieving and maintaining high scores on Core Web Vitals (Lighthouse/PageSpeed) across critical e-commerce pages.

  • UI Quality: Delivery of components that are visually flawless, responsive, and accessible (WCAG compliant).

  • Feature Velocity: Timely and efficient delivery of new features and fixes within the sprint cycles.

Mentorship Structure: Reports to the Technical Architect or Engineering Lead, working directly with UX designers and backend engineers for the Catalog, OMS, and B2B Portal modules.
