Role Overview:

We’re seeking an exceptional Frontend Engineer to help lead the design and development of our clinical and operator-facing web and mobile applications. You’ll build beautiful, responsive interfaces using React and React Native, and ensure they integrate seamlessly with our backend systems and custom hardware. You’ll also work closely with Android and device-level functionality, especially around video processing, USB hardware integration, and real-time feedback.

This role is ideal for an engineer who’s obsessed with UX, has an eye for detail, and can move fluidly between mobile and web platforms. You care deeply about code quality and performance, but you also care about delivering tools that make a difference in the real world.

 

Tech Stack:

  • Frontend: React, React Native, TypeScript, Redux, React Navigation
  • Mobile Platform: Android (Java / Kotlin bridge knowledge a plus)
  • Backend (interfacing with frontend): Python
  • Database: PostgreSQL
  • Cloud: AWS (ECS, S3, CloudFront) 

Key Responsibilities:

  • React Development: Own our web portal and tablet interface, building intuitive and responsive components
  • React Native Apps: Develop and maintain our clinical Android application with hardware integration capabilities
  • Mobile UX: Optimize touch interactions, loading times, and offline usability
  • Device Integration: Collaborate with backend and hardware teams to interface with custom medical hardware (e.g., camera feeds, USB devices)
  • UI/UX Feedback Loop: Incorporate clinician and patient feedback to refine interfaces quickly
  • Engineering Leadership: Help establish frontend coding standards, mentor junior engineers, and review code for quality and maintainability

  • Frontend Mastery: 5+ years of experience building production-grade interfaces using React and/or React Native

  • ML/AI: Experience with computer vision, OpenCV, ML Kit, and TensorFlow, optimized for Android runtime
