TL;DR: Coval is a platform for simulating and evaluating voice and chat agents. We've raised a $3.3M seed round, 10x'd our revenue in just 2 months and have strong customer demand for automated agent testing. To accelerate our growth, we're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team and shape our core product experience.

So…What's Coval all about? No one's sure what an agentic future will look like. But we're certain AI agents are here to stay. And Coval will be the infrastructure that powers that.

Today, anyone can build and deploy an AI agent. While the first wave of AI agents is already delighting customers, creating reliable agents is becoming a growing challenge for companies.

At Coval, we're shaping the future of an agent-driven world. We know first-hand how AI agents operate and where they fall short. As AI adoption accelerates, one thing is clear: testing and reliability are more critical than ever.

Coval is the tool that empowers companies to not only create agents that delight and support customers but also deploy them with confidence, knowing they'll perform reliably in production. This is just the beginning of the AI-agent era. Evaluation infrastructure will massively shape it. There is no question if, it's who and when, and Coval aims to be THE agentic testing platform.

Coval is the first of its kind and we're just getting started. If you want to be part of this journey, join us!

Who you are:

  • You're probably an ex-founder or builder at heart

  • You enjoy the process of company-building, thrive in startup chaos and love to ship + iterate fast

  • You're ready to roll up your sleeves and own features end-to-end; get creative, and always keep the user in mind with everything you build. You care about customers more than anything else

  • You're great at ruthlessly simplifying things

  • You have a passion for crafting intuitive, beautiful, and responsive user interfaces

  • You can design and build systems with a clear vision. You can take a short-cut but know where the road leads to

Here's what working at Coval will look like: Joining Coval at this pivotal stage means becoming a core member of the early team, directly shaping our product and driving the frontend decisions that will power our growth.

  • You'll collaborate closely with customers, guiding them through onboarding, understanding their unique needs, and using their feedback to shape and refine our platform's interface

  • We're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, takes full ownership of their work, and knows how to balance priorities effectively

  • You'll often find yourself tackling features with minimal specs or making UX decisions on the fly—perfect if you enjoy figuring things out and taking initiative

  • Most importantly, we want this to feel like your baby — a place where your ideas, ownership, and impact truly matter

Technical requirements:

  • You're comfortable with our frontend tech stack: React, TypeScript, NextJS

  • You have strong frontend architecture skills and experience building complex web applications

  • You have a keen eye for design and are excited about crafting exceptional user experiences

  • You have prior startup experience

  • You can translate complex workflows into intuitive user interfaces

  • Bonus: You have a strong intuition about what today's LLMs can do and where they'll go next, and you're excited to build interfaces that showcase their capabilities

  • Bonus: You deeply care about improving developer experience

P.S: We're working 100% in-person from our office in San Francisco.
