Our client is a thesis-driven investment firm focused on backing founders building at the frontier of technology. Their investment areas include AI, crypto, compute, energy, robotics, infrastructure, and other emerging technologies shaping the future of global markets. They operate in a fast-moving environment centered around deep research, strong conviction, and long-term relationships with founders and operators across the technology ecosystem.

The Role

They are looking for a Frontier Investment Analyst to join their investment team and help drive research, sourcing, diligence, and investment strategy across AI, crypto, and other frontier technology sectors. This person will work closely with the partnership to identify emerging trends, evaluate investment opportunities, and contribute to the firm’s broader thought leadership within the technology and crypto ecosystem.

This role is ideal for someone highly curious, analytical, and passionate about disruptive technologies, startups, and investing. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment and has a strong interest in AI, crypto, blockchain, infrastructure, or related frontier sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify emerging trends, technologies, and investment opportunities across AI, crypto, energy, infrastructure, robotics, and adjacent markets.
  • Source and evaluate new investment opportunities, including founder meetings, market analysis, and investment diligence.
  • Support investment decision-making through research, competitive analysis, and internal investment memos.
  • Contribute to portfolio management and ongoing monitoring of existing investments.
  • Write research pieces and market commentary related to frontier technologies and crypto trends.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and community initiatives to help expand the firm’s network and market presence.
  • Collaborate closely with the broader investment team on strategy, research initiatives, and sourcing efforts.

Requirements

  • Experience investing in, researching, building, or operating within AI, crypto, blockchain, energy, robotics, infrastructure, or other frontier technology sectors.
  • Strong analytical, research, and written communication skills.
  • Passion for startups, emerging technologies, and venture investing.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote and fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of curiosity, ownership, and initiative.
  • Experience working in lean, high-growth environments is strongly preferred.
  • Technical background or technical curiosity is a plus, including self-taught experience.
  • Existing network or involvement within crypto, AI, or startup communities is highly valued.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally for meetings, conferences, and events as needed.
