In Growth Product Experiences, we create amazing user experiences, blending our role as a top streaming service with exciting engineering challenges. This role is open for remote or hybrid engineers. Hybrid team members are based in Los Gatos, California, spending three days a week on average at Netflix’s HQ. We offer relocation assistance, generous parental leave, vacation, and reproductive benefits.
What will you do in this role?As a member of the Consumer Data & Privacy Experiences team, you'll directly influence how millions access Netflix daily. You'll create seamless commerce and growth experiences, driving innovation and monetization across diverse offerings. Our focus is on building stable, reusable capabilities for global entertainment access, enhancing Netflix operations, including streaming apps, Games, Live, Ads, and Netflix House.
You'll play a pivotal role in enabling smooth customer 1P Data Collection, Privacy Consent Collection, across Netflix products. Using Server-driven Web UI technologies, you'll create modular experiences that minimize client-side logic. Your work will enhance flexibility, increase experimentation speed, improve user experience, and directly contribute to our bottom line.
You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering seamless experiences across Netflix products, while balancing business objectives, regulatory requirements, and providing the best possible customer experience. Using your full stack software engineering skills, you'll create modular experiences that minimize client-side logic with server driven UI, javascript and java and graphQL technologies. Your work will enhance flexibility, increase experimentation speed, improve user experience, and directly contribute to our bottom line.
Key Responsibilities:Work with cross-functional teams to create innovative data collection and privacy solutions.
Focus on product, business, and partner needs for high-quality experiences.
Lead technical direction for Server Driven UI components, APIs and GraphQL schema design
Ensure systems are scalable, performant, and reliable.
Exceptional proficiency in the fundamentals of any programming language, with a focus on TypeScript, JavaScript, and React for web development.
Passionate about cross-client development, with experience in testing, automation and CI/CD frameworks.
Endlessly curious with a proactive approach to technology, learning, and innovation, and a strong advocate for privacy solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively, with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering high-quality products.

8+ years of professional experience designing, building, and shipping full-stack software using Javascript, React, Java, GraphQL, and using unit tests and other automation to validate quality.
Privacy-first mindset and can help us raise the bar for user data protection.
Familiarity with global privacy regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Built or contributed to consent management, user data access, or privacy compliance features.
Collaborated with privacy, legal, or compliance teams on product development.

Proven experience in software development with a focus on web UI and server side technologies.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent professional experience.
