About Condor

Every year, hundreds of billions of dollars are invested to discover and develop new therapies, yet the financial infrastructure behind that work has not kept pace. Clinical operations and finance live in disconnected worlds, forcing teams to make high-stakes decisions using fragmented tools and static data.

Condor exists to change that. We are a system of action, building the financial intelligence layer that will power the next era of clinical development. Condor connects clinical operations, vendor activity, and financial signals into a single, real-time intelligence layer, giving R&D and finance leaders true command over how their organizations operate.

Condor is pharma-native, AI-driven infrastructure built to scale industry standards we helped define with Big 4 partners. It powers prediction, control, and execution across the most complex R&D environments in the world.

Why This Matters Now

Condor has moved past proving the concept. Enterprise teams already trust Condor to run critical operations and finance. The work ahead is the hardest part: scaling something people depend on when the stakes are this high.

Condor is a high-growth company backed by top institutional partners like Felicis and 645 Ventures, growing rapidly with Top 200 biopharma companies. This is a rare opportunity to help build foundational infrastructure that will shape how new therapies reach patients.

The Role

As a Full-Stack Platform Engineer at Condor, you will help build and scale the core platform behind the financial intelligence infrastructure that enterprise biopharma companies rely on to run their operations and finance. This is foundational engineering work at the intersection of backend systems, cloud infrastructure, and intelligent automation, where correctness, reliability, and scale are non-negotiable.

You will focus primarily on backend and platform architecture, designing and implementing services that power complex financial and operational workflows. Your work will shape how data flows through the system, how workflows are orchestrated, and how the platform supports emerging AI-driven capabilities. This is not surface-level integration work. You will be building durable primitives that other teams depend on as the product and customer base scale.

As a core member of a cross-functional product team, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, quality engineers, and data specialists to take features from concept through production. While backend depth is central to this role, you will engage pragmatically across the stack to ensure platform capabilities are surfaced accurately and reliably in the product.

This role is for engineers who want to own hard platform problems, work close to real customer use cases, and build infrastructure that becomes essential to how an industry operates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, test, and deploy backend services, APIs, and platform components that power Condor’s financial cloud.

  • Build and maintain platform infrastructure with a serverless architecture

  • Collaborate with AI/ML engineering and product teams to design backend interfaces that integrate with LLM-based agents, retrieval systems, and automated reasoning workflows.

  • Build backend logic to support complex workflows related to clinical trial accounting, financial forecasting, and budgeting.

  • Build frontend components and interfaces as needed to support full-stack feature delivery, using React

  • Investigate and resolve complex production issues, performing root cause analysis and recommending and implementing long-term architectural improvements

  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following internal development standards and best practices

  • Participate in architectural discussions and technical planning, contributing to platform evolution and scalability strategies

  • Mentor team members on backend best practices, system design, and technical excellence

Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience with strong emphasis on backend development

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

  • Proven track record of building and scaling backend systems, APIs, and data-intensive applications

  • Deep expertise in at least one backend programming language (Python preferred, but others, such as Go, are acceptable) and associated frameworks (Django, Flask, etc)

  • Understanding of full-stack development including frontend frameworks, though backend is the primary focus

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in Python and experience with Django or Flask

  • Experience with TypeScript and React for full-stack feature development

  • Hands-on experience integrating backend services with LLM-based systems (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or similar AI platforms)

  • Experience building agentic AI workflows or AI-powered automation features

What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation and meaningful equity participation

  • Comprehensive employee benefits, including 100% company-paid health, dental, vision, and life insurance

  • 401(k) plan with a 3% company match that vests immediately

  • Unlimited PTO
