If so, consider being the Gift Processing Coordinator for the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank. Join our friendly, collaborative, and hardworking Development team, reporting to the Manager, Gift Processing Systems.  

As a core member of an integrated Development department with a commitment to excellence, the Gift Processing Coordinator is responsible for recording and acknowledging donations and capturing information about supporters in The Raiser’s Edge.  The Coordinator collaborates with other members of the Development Operations team, as well as fundraising teams, to provide donors an excellent giving experience.

What You Would Be Accountable for: 

The Gift Processing Coordinator will be responsible for the following key pieces of work: 

  • Collaborate with other members of the Development Operations team, as well as fundraising teams, to provide donors an excellent giving experience by using all available technology and resources to maintain accurate, up-to-date donor information.  

  • The coordinator plays a key role in prepping gift data for entry with accuracy and precision and supports short and long-term fundraising strategies specified in the Development workplan.  

  • Coordinates with the Gift Processing team to ensure a donor-centric process to ensure timely gift entry and acknowledgment. 

What You Would Be Doing Right Now: 

Gift Processing 

  • Prep gifts for entry, ensuring accurate and clean data entry.  

  • Download and prep files for online gifts, including those processed through third parties, such as PayPal.  

  • Prep workplace gifts from third party giving and matching gift programs.  

  • Maintain deposit log, prep all EFT/ACH/wire gifts.  

  • Setup tributes and generate mailed cards.  

  • Provide support for mail sorting and in-house printing (in-office duties). 

Database Support 

  • Update donor addresses, mailing preferences and other donor information in The Raiser’s Edge and other systems, such as Engaging Networks.  

  • Flag duplicate records for the Donor Data team.  

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

What Else You Should Know: 

All internal candidates must apply using their Food Bank work email within 10 business days of posting to be considered. Applications submitted after 10 days are still welcome but may not be reviewed or afforded an interview, depending on the status of the selection process.  

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • 2+ years of office experience in a nonprofit development environment is a plus 

  • Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge and RE NXT is preferred 

  • Interest in hunger or food issues is a plus 

KEY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: 

  • Professional experience in data entry 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams 

  • Experience with third-party software integrations, add-ons and/or Blackbaud Marketplace Solutions is a plus 

  • Superb attention to detail and superior data entry skills, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

POSITION COVERD BY OPEIU LOCAL 29 BARGAINING UNIT.  

SALARY The position is full-time. The starting salary for this position ranges from $33.27-34.31, with exact salary depending on experience.  

BENEFITS All positions are offered generous holiday and sick time as well as retirement savings. This position also qualifies for medical, dental, life, long-term disability, and vacation time.
