About This Role

Carrier's Global Enterprise Solutions team serves its most important customers with Carrier's broad portfolio of products, solutions, and services. It identifies improvement opportunities and provides actionable insights to deliver better customer outcomes in health, safety, efficiency, and occupant experience.

We seek an Enterprise Account Manager - Data Centers who will own the Carrier strategy for select, targeted, and new Enterprise accounts, manage account stakeholders, lead or support opportunity pursuits, and coordinate the various account teams within our Global Data Center segment while leveraging the broad building systems portfolio of Carrier business units (HVAC, Building Automation, DCIM, Digital, and Energy Solutions).

The candidate, in collaboration with Carrier business units (BUs), will drive growth by calling on senior-level decision-makers across an owner’s leadership, design, procurement, construction, & operations teams, and coordinate with their various consulting engineers, partners, and contractors. They will develop and identify opportunities to engage in a consultative manner with customers around Carrier solutions and services while achieving business growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the assigned vertical segment and assigned accounts including a deep understanding of Facilities, Design, Construction, Operations, and Lifecycle
  • Identify, Land, and Expand Enterprise accounts/opportunities primarily through new construction & owner-direct portfolio-buy opportunities
  • Strong emphasis on net-new opportunities & business development
  • Pursue qualified leads at the Enterprise level & expand existing BU touchpoints
  • Coordinate & Collaborate with all Carrier personnel (Global & Regional BU Sellers & Leadership) throughout the sales & account management process
  • Work closely with BU sellers to identify cross-BU expansion opportunities
  • Create and update formalized Enterprise account plans both globally & regionally
  • Evolve and drive a holistic global account strategy based on customer and vertical insights
  • Influence customers to purchase Carrier products & solutions
  • In collaboration with other Carrier resources, develop tailored solutions to meet specific customer needs
  • Understand and influence customer's investment roadmap relevant to Carrier products & solutions to drive expansion
  • Expand relationships within assigned accounts to access new decision makers and uncover new opportunities

Required Qualifications  

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ Years of Sales, Business Development, or Data Center Mechanical/HVAC, Design, Construction, and/or Owner Segment Experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25%-50% including International for both clients & conferences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Sales/Marketing, or related discipline
  • Strong collaboration, transparency, and team leadership capabilities
  • Experience in developing National, Strategic, or Enterprise Accounts for Facilities/HVAC, Mechanical Design, or Construction.
  • Proven experience developing, navigating, & managing Data Center owner accounts highly preferred – Engineering, Procurement, Construction, & Operations
  • Mechanical/HVAC/Controls experience preferred, but segment experience in other facility aspects or building solutions acceptable
  • Proven ability to influence and work effectively across all levels of an organization
  • Ability to communicate with high altitude customer stakeholders (e.g., C-Suite)
  • Ability to engage with senior executives and create demand for new solutions
  • Proven experience and ability to develop and execute consultative sales strategies that drive value growth for customers
  • Ability to lead multi-functional teams to resolve unusually complex problems
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities and ambiguity
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal across a wide audience. This includes the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical teams
  • Strong negotiation skills: ability to understand contractual, legal language
  • Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, & Copilot)
  • Excellent project management skills and execution
  • Ability to quickly adapt and adjust approach and solutions to customer needs
  • Ability to promote software / recurring sales, not just equipment & services

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $117,500.00 - $234,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation

This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
