Own the technical sales motion for NVIDIA-focused enterprise AI infrastructure deals. Lead discovery, architecture, proof-of-concept design and execution, technical closes, partner and field SE enablement, troubleshooting, escalation, customer workshops, and product feedback. The role requires expertise in NVIDIA systems, storage, data platforms, Linux, parallel file environments, GPU clusters, and AI pipelines, with Bay Area availability for on-site partner or customer sessions.

Hammerspace is a fast-growing software company building the data foundation for the AI era. We are changing how organizations access, move, and use unstructured data by eliminating data silos and creating a single, high-performance data environment across sites, clouds, and storage systems. This ensures AI, GPUs, HPC, and data-intensive applications can operate at full speed.

Our technology combines a high-performance parallel global file system with intelligent data orchestration to make data available wherever compute needs it, without disruptive migrations or infrastructure lock-in. The result is faster AI pipelines, higher GPU utilization, quicker time-to-insight, and a radically simpler way for researchers, developers, and enterprises to put their data to work.

Hammerspace is seeking a senior, customer-facing Global Enterprise AI Sales Engineer, Working hand in hand with the Global Enterprise Sales Executive, you will accelerate the adoption of the Hammerspace NVIDIA AI Data Platform (AIDP) with large enterprise customers worldwide.

This individual will position Hammerspace as the data foundation for enterprise AI—making distributed, unstructured data across on-premises, cloud, edge, and heterogeneous storage environments accessible, governed, searchable, and ready for AI. The focus includes Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), enterprise search, agentic AI, AI copilots, knowledge management, research assistants, model development, inference, and AI data pipelines.

You will own the technical work on those deals: POCs, the architecture that sits on NVIDIA systems, and the software stack where it meets the Hammerspace data path.

What You Will Do

  • Technical Motion: Own the technical motion on NVIDIA-path deals and partner-SE work (discovery, architecture on NVIDIA systems, POC design/execution, and the technical close).
  • On-Site Presence: Be present in the Bay Area when a partner, customer, or joint session actually needs a person on site.
  • SE Enablement: Enable Hammerspace field SEs and NVIDIA partner SEs to run a routine NVIDIA-path POC without a Field CTO.
  • Direct Collaboration: Sit with NVIDIA SEs and architects directly. No translator required.
  • Problem Triage: Know when a problem is hardware, software, or commercial—and pull the right owner.
  • Escalation Support: Bring in hardware-partner architecture, HPC architecture, and the Director when the work is stuck.
  • Product Feedback: Surface real NVIDIA-boundary gaps (compatibility, kernel, whitelist, and performance issues) to Product the same week they show up in the field.
  • Daily Reporting: Flag stuck POCs, severity-level problems, and coverage holes to the Director the same day.
  • Technical Enablement: Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and hands-on enablement that field and partner SEs can reuse.

What Good Looks Like in Six Months

  • NVIDIA-path deals in flight have a named specialist.
  • Routine NVIDIA technical work does not consume a Field CTO.
  • Bay Area partners can run a routine POC without flying a Field CTO in.
  • Stuck POCs, compatibility/kernel blocks, severity-level issues, and coverage holes reach the Director the same day.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • NVIDIA Infrastructure Experience: Proven experience as the technical owner on NVIDIA-path infrastructure deals (GPU systems, partner SEs, and joint POCs).
  • Architect Collaboration: Ability to sit with NVIDIA SEs and architects without a translator.
  • POC Execution: Ability to run a POC end-to-end and teach a partner or field SE to do the same.
  • Professional Experience: Five or more years in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or a comparable technical sales role in storage, data management, or accelerated computing infrastructure.
  • Technical Core: Working knowledge of Linux, NFS / pNFS or parallel file environments, and how a data platform attaches to GPU clusters.
  • Location: Bay Area
  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication with partner SEs, customer architects, and Hammerspace field teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working the NVIDIA partner motion at a storage, data, or systems company.
  • Innate understanding of when a problem is iron vs. software vs. commercial.
  • Familiarity with NVIDIA networking and software stack components as they touch the data path (drivers, runtimes, fabrics, scheduling).
  • Experience with AI / GPU training and inference pipelines, and with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud where those clusters land.
  • Knowledge of current storage architectures (NAS, SAN, object, parallel file) and of containers / Kubernetes environments.

You do not need to match every bullet. If you have done this work under another title, apply. We hire for the work, not a pedigree.

What This Role Does NOT Own

  • The Field CTO seat.
  • Worldwide hardware-partner architecture.
  • HPC architecture.
  • The NVIDIA commercial relationship or partner program (managed by Partner Enablement).
  • Product narrative and core presales content (managed by Presales).
  • New-logo hunting as a primary motion.
