Specific job responsibilities:
Directs team activities, multiple projects of significant complexity and risk, adhering to schedule, budget and resource requirements.
Supervises, instructs and coaches team members in technical, project management and analytical skills.
Organizes plans and schedules maintenance and site services project work.
Maintains site compliance documentation and investigates and responds to compliance problems and complaints received from customers, agencies, or employees.
Participates in preparation and review of Facilities Operations policies and procedures.
Understands and applies root cause analysis principles to support the team planning process using budgeting/financial software and cost-benefit modeling.
Ensures that all Maintenance SOPs are kept up to date and reflect current regulatory requirements.
Works on moderately complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Consults with senior managers for guidance when appropriate.
Project Planning
Participates as the Maintenance subject matter representative on all construction projects
Participates in all project design meetings to develop Basis of Design
Perform due diligence and review job scope to insure all maintenance issues are addressed
Review all construction drawings and submittals and provide comments
Conduct weekly walks of the projects and provide feedback to Project Manager on any issues identified
Participate in all mechanical equipment start up activities and commissioning
Support the validation efforts on any GMP equipment
Insure completion of Turn Over Packages
Assist with the development of Spare Parts lists and Preventative Maintenance procedures
Coordinate all shut down activities of building utilities and life safety systems
Develop all mechanical equipment sequence of operations and insure that they are implemented properly in the Building Automation systems and commissioned to verify proper performance
Coordinate all inspections and any meetings with the City or Regulatory officials
Responsible for the campus wide Building Automation System and the vendors that support this system

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•              Collaborate with internal business units and Gilead Business Partners to understand analytical needs and provide data-driven solutions.

•              Develop compelling visualizations and narratives to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels.

•              Translate complex business questions into structured analytical problems and deliver clear, actionable recommendations.

•              Design and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to:

o             Analyze spend patterns

o             Forecast demand

o             Evaluate supplier performance

•              Apply data science methodologies to optimize cost savings, mitigate supply risks, and ensure contract compliance.

•              Leverage SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to analyze procurement data and deliver meaningful insights.

•              Build, automate, and maintain robust data pipelines and workflows using orchestration tools such as Airflow and Alteryx.

•              Integrate analytical models and insights into procurement systems like SAP Ariba to enhance real-time decision-making.

•              Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across multiple procurement platforms and sources.

•              Support a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within Procurement and Data & Analytics.

•              Contribute to team development by enhancing analytical capabilities and ensuring access to the necessary tools and training.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s with 6 years’ experience  

OR

Master’s  with 4 years’ experience

The salary range for this position is: $136,340.00 - $176,440.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
