Global Product Marketing Specialist– Industrial Adhesives & Tapes

(Structural Adhesives, Spray Adhesives, Hot Melts, & Sealants)

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Global Product Marketing Specialist – Adhesives, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most innovative teams around the world. In this role, you will support the growth and execution of 3M's global Adhesives business while helping bring new products, insights, and customer solutions to market. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Business Scope: This role supports the global Structural Adhesives, Spray Adhesives, Sealants, and related Adhesives product businesses within the Industrial Adhesives & Tapes Division.
  • Innovation & Commercialization: Support and lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from discovery through commercialization and post-launch execution for the Adhesives business. Coordinate cross-functional teams, develop market Insight, manage launch activities, and help bring innovative technologies to market.
  • Product Marketing Execution: Lead product content management and commercialization support activities for Structural Adhesives, Spray Adhesives, and Sealants. Maintain product information, catalogs, demonstration tools, SharePoint sites, and customer-facing marketing assets that support global growth initiatives.
  • Analytics & Digital Transformation: Develop and maintain business dashboards, sales reporting, and product performance metrics. Create standardized reporting and insights to support business decision-making. Support development and implementation of AI-enabled tools, automation opportunities, and Ask 3M initiatives to improve productivity, reporting, and knowledge sharing across the Adhesives business.
  • Customer & Market Insights: Lead Voice of Customer (VOC), market research, and business insight initiatives to better understand customer needs, identify growth opportunities, and support future innovation efforts.
  • Business Communications: Coordinate communication of key business updates including product launches, supply chain developments, service impacts, and portfolio changes. Develop business newsletters, analytics updates, and best-practice sharing resources to improve alignment across global teams.
  • Global Business Coordination: Support planning and execution of Adhesives business reviews, customer events, trade shows, team meetings, and global summits. Maintain visibility to major industry events and help coordinate the global Adhesives events calendar.
  • Project Leadership: Lead strategic business projects while partnering closely with Product Marketing, Sales, Technical Service, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams to drive execution and accelerate business growth.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Three (3) years of experience in product marketing, commercialization, sales, analytics, product management, supply chain, engineering, business operations, or a related function in a private, public, government, or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience developing and delivering business insights through reporting, analytics, or business intelligence tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions or commercialization projects.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Power BI, Microsoft, or similar business analytics tools.
  • Experience leveraging AI, automation, or digital tools to improve business processes.
  • Experience developing marketing content, sales enablement tools, or customer-facing communications.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience working with global teams and cross-functional organizations.

Work location:

  • Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.

Travel: May include up to 15% Domestic/International

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
