The Consumer Bank Regional Security Manager will execute security strategies to enhance operational effectiveness and ensure the safety of Chase employees and customers within the Central region. This role is responsible for maintaining robust security controls across branch environments, including physical security, technical security, and threat management. The ideal candidate has proven expertise in managing large physical security programs, engages leadership with relevant data, and drives initiatives that meet both business and security objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Consistently oversee day-to-day security operations, analyzing and prioritizing events based on severity, including incident response.
- Diligently manage the end-to-end guard management program for the assigned region.
- Promptly address safety and security issues from incident reports, constructing fact-based responses and liaising with law enforcement as needed.
- Thoroughly ensure security surveys are conducted per Consumer Security standards and support the life cycle of security systems for properties and new builds.
- Regularly collaborate with Chase branch staff to foster a culture of security awareness and coordinate physical security operations with regional management.
- Effectively partner with internal investigations, fraud, HR, and Legal, maintaining chain-of-custody and documentation standards.
- Proactively deliver and coordinate security awareness training for consumer-site staff, including robbery response, de-escalation, and workplace violence prevention.
- Clearly partner with key security program members and stakeholders, communicating needs and status of the security program.
- Skillfully utilize Business Intelligence tools or Excel to analyze security data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights; remain on call outside regular hours with a JPMC-supported phone.
- Flexibly adapt to people management responsibilities as required in the future.
- Frequently travel within the region weekly and within the division as needed.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Possess 10+ years of relevant physical security experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
- Demonstrate expertise in developing and implementing security programs, performing risk analysis, and conducting threat modeling.
- Exhibit knowledge of physical security technology systems and experience project managing security technology integrators.
- Maintain strong familiarity with Real Estate-related physical security issues.
- Operate effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments, showing initiative from tactical to strategic levels.
- Communicate succinctly in writing and speech, applying strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and high emotional intelligence.
- Display a self-starter attitude with curiosity, motivation, and goal orientation, able to work with limited supervision.
- Apply attention to detail and delivery orientation, effectively planning and tracking to prescribed timelines.
- Leverage strong interpersonal and influencing skills to collaborate with multiple teams.
- Gather, track, and consolidate information, analyze data, and contribute to reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Demonstrate proficiency with MS Office suite, especially Excel.
