Overview

Client Services acts as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to our clients, building trust by understanding our clients’ larger objectives and designing solutions that accelerate those goals through our broad capabilities in marketing, technology, data, and design. The Group Director, Client Services, is responsible for leading, managing, and growing client relationships within a portfolio of accounts organized by verticals. This role involves establishing strong relationships with clients, maintaining an understanding of their business objectives and industry trends, and working closely with the VP, Client Services to establish account strategies. The Group Director also delivers client presentations and recommendations, including new ideas that align with the clients’ goals. Additionally, they provide guidance on forward-thinking initiatives that address industry and organizational challenges, demonstrating how Velir can deliver business value to clients. This position requires a passion for connecting with clients, with a strong emphasis on in person interactions.

Responsibilities
  • Establish long-term client relationships through regularly attending onsite meetings and events.
  • Grow client accounts by identifying opportunities to cross sell or upsell from inception through to close.
  • Lead the development of strategic account plans that outline the full client landscape.
  • Support the team on strategic/business development and tactical implementation.
  • Achieve specific revenue and margin targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as defined by annual planning and forecasting.
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts and maintain Salesforce records for open opportunities with a strong focus on driving towards close dates and converting opportunities into revenue.
  • Coach and mentor team members, prioritizing activities amongst accounts.
  • Partner with the business development team to create compelling proposals that advance Velir to the final stages of RFPs and participate in pitch presentations.
  • Stay up to date on the latest industry trends and technologies
  • Remain AI forward, curious, and savvy 
  • Provide thought leadership within industry aligned to the portfolio.
  • Handle supplementary duties as necessary.
Skills & Qualifications
  •  10+ years of experience in digital marketing, client-facing strategy, or business development within consulting
  •  Strategic account planning experience driving investment growth.
  •  Strong leadership skills, demonstrating confidence when presenting various digital strategies, roadmaps, and partnering with SMEs.
  •  Strong business and financial acumen, understand the client’s business, industry, competition, company priorities and budgets, define success metrics and set goals.
  •  Experience clearing communicating the process of strategic initiatives to internal and external stakeholders, including skills to synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Leadership experience, rallying teams and cross-functional partners around common goals and objectives

Compensation Range: $130,000 - $140,000 annually

Please note that compensation packages are finalized after the interview process is concluded. We use a competency-based approach to base pay, which means it is based on the competencies and skills demonstrated for this role.
