The Group Leader Sales Region focuses on enabling and coaching regional territory sales team members, supporting their team’s success in managing sales opportunities as well as customer account growth and relationship development within their assigned region. Achieving National & Global strategic growth, increasing Fronius market shares, and promoting our company vision are also duties required of this position. The Group Leader Sales Region works closely with a designated internal team to provide customers with the best solutions based on their needs.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Sustainably implements strategies, sales, and service processes (VSP) in the specified VSP Team
  • Implements management decisions.
  • Manages, coordinates, increases sales performance as well as controls the specified VSP Team
  • Assumes profit responsibility for the specified VSP Team
  • Carries out regular team meetings and employee appraisals (including sales goals and sales team development)
  • Coordinates advanced training programs.
  • Coaches and trains, supporting sales processes and methodology driven by the Director of Sales
  • Takes responsibly for financials, sales, investments, personnel, and marketing programs.
  • Manages marketing in consultation with National Marketing Managers.
  • Provides support to the VSP Team with existing customer support and new customer acquisition activities (presentations for key accounts, customer interaction plans, debriefing sales calls, etc.)
  • Provides sales opportunity support for VSP Sales Team (joint calls, territory development, sales blitzes, target customer for focused lines of business) 
  • Collaborates jointly to pursue opportunities through indirect channel partners.   
  • Implements specialist dealer qualification concepts (Hybrid Sales Channels, Integrator & OEM programs) 
  • Takes responsibly for enforcement and proper use of the CRM system of VSP employees
  • Provides progress reports to the Director of Sales
  • Promotes and supports the “Fronius Way” philosophy.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

Leadership Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assumes disciplinary responsibility for all direct reports.
  • Acts as a role model for all Fronius USA, LLC employees with respect to work ethics, team support, distinctive communication skills and workplace standards
  • Prepares budgets and monitors expenses of assigned cost centers.
  • Determines the necessary staffing needs of the cost center including requesting additional personnel, conducting interviews, negotiating offers, and supporting on-boarding.
  • Monitors employee attendance, initiates salary adjustments, conducts annual appraisals, and participates in corrective action plans to improve employee performance.
  • Provides disciplinary reporting to national management, as needed.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid passport or has the ability to obtain and pay for a valid passport.
  • Regular travel
  • Commercial or technical training
  • Experience in sales of investment goods.
  • Management experience and training – business degree (knowledge of commercial management)
  • Executive training with focus in team leadership
  • Project management training
  • Strong knowledge of the welding industry
  • Strong marketing skills will be a significant asset.
  • Excellent written, verbal, negotiation presentation and public speaking skills
  • Self-starter, self-motivated 
  • Capable of working in a remote office, setting goals/objectives and successfully implementing plans without close supervision or direction
  • Ability to manage executive, mid-management, and technical decision makers within a single organization.
  • Excellent time management skills required to manage a large and diverse range of customers (manufacturers, distributors, developers, etc.)
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent telephone etiquette skills
  • Proficient in the use of internal and other resources for research, professional development, and communication
  • Sense of urgency when it comes to dispersing new information to team members within Fronius USA
  • Represent Fronius USA professionally with the goal of long-term partnerships.

  • Employees will be occasionally exposed to tripping hazards
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low to medium
