How We Work: AI-First by Design

Harmonic exists to help enterprises adopt AI safely and at scale. We hold ourselves to the same standard. Everyone at Harmonic actively uses AI tools to do their best work, from research and writing to building processes and automating workflows. We expect every new hire to bring curiosity about AI and a willingness to use it to work smarter, faster, and more creatively. For some roles, that means tinkering and staying open to new tools. For others, it means building entirely new systems with AI at the core. We'll be clear about what we expect for each role, and we'll give you the tools and support to get there.

About the Team

You will report to the Director of Demand Generation and work closely with GTM team leaders. This is a hands-on role within a lean, high-performing marketing team that values experimentation, data-driven decision making, and rapid iteration. You will be a key contributor to our go-to-market engine, directly influencing how we acquire and convert customers in a fast-growing category.

About the Role

We need an AI-first growth marketer to design, run, and improve programs that generate real pipeline, and turn what works into repeatable systems. We’re looking for someone who is AI-first in how they operate—curious, experimental, and always looking for ways to use AI to move faster, test more ideas, and scale their impact. We need someone who can move fast, test relentlessly, and turn winning experiments into repeatable pipeline engines.

What You Will Do
  • Own net-new business meeting generation as the primary success metric, driving pipeline through paid, organic, and experimental channels

  • Plan, launch, and optimize paid ad campaigns across search, social, and display to acquire qualified prospects.

  • Build and run ABM programs targeting high-value accounts in coordination with sales.

  • Develop and execute AEO/GEO strategies to capture demand from AI-driven search and answer engines.

  • Design and run social campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and inbound interest from target personas.

  • Operate a structured experimentation program — continuously testing new growth channels, messaging, creative, and tactics, then scaling what works into repeatable systems.

  • Leverage AI tools across every workflow — from campaign ideation and content creation to audience targeting, personalization, and performance analysis.

  • Partner cross-functionally with sales, product marketing, and marketing ops to align on ICP, messaging, and pipeline goals.

  • Own campaign analytics and attribution — build dashboards, track performance, and report on pipeline impact to inform budget and strategy decisions.

  • Support outreach efforts by collaborating on sequences, content, and targeting that reinforce outbound and inbound motions together.

What Success Looks Like
  • Consistently generate net-new qualified business meetings per month through demand gen programs.

  • Build and launch a repeatable, multi-channel demand generation engine with at least 3 producing channels (e.g., paid, ABM, AEO/GEO) contributing measurable pipeline by month 6.

  • Establish a structured experimentation cadence — running a variety of tests per quarter with clear hypotheses, measurement, and a documented playbook of what's working, what's been killed, and any learnings.

  • Deliver measurable pipeline sourced and influenced by marketing programs, with clear attribution from campaign to meeting to opportunity.

  • Reduce cost per qualified meeting over time by optimizing channels, targeting, and creative through AI-driven workflows and continuous iteration.

What You Bring
  • 2–5+ years in B2B demand gen, growth marketing, or acquisition — ideally in SaaS or cybersecurity, with direct experience owning pipeline targets.

  • Proven track record of generating qualified pipeline through paid and programmatic channels — not just managing campaigns, but building them from scratch and tying them to revenue.

  • AI-native operator — actively using AI tools in day-to-day workflows, with clear examples of using AI to move faster or scale output. Clay experience highly desired.

  • Strong experimentation discipline — knows how to structure tests with hypotheses, run them quickly, measure results, and decide what to kill vs. scale.

  • Proficiency in modern marketing and analytics tools — HubSpot (or similar), Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and comfortable in spreadsheets and dashboards.

  • Working knowledge of AEO/GEO and organic acquisition levers — understands how AI-driven search is changing demand capture and has ideas (or experience) on how to win there.

  • Cross-functional collaboration chops — has worked closely with sales, SDR/BDR teams, and marketing ops to align campaigns with outbound motions and pipeline goals.

  • Builder mentality with high ownership — comfortable in ambiguity, doesn't wait for a playbook, creates one. Has operated in early-stage or high-growth environments where they had to figure things out.

  • Reside in San Francisco, CA or surrounding areas and able to work hybrid.

You Might Be a Fit If
  • You have a successful track record leveraging AI to drive pipeline across multiple platforms and can show measurable impact on CAC and pipeline

  • You are comfortable working in the platforms daily, not just reviewing dashboards

  • You have experience with both traditional SEO and emerging tactics like AEO and GEO

  • You thrive in environments where you can experiment, test, learn, and iterate quickly

  • You can translate data into actionable insights and communicate performance clearly to stakeholders

  • You have worked in B2B, ideally in cybersecurity or SaaS categories

  • You don't just use AI, you build with it. You've experimented with multiple AI tools beyond ChatGPT and can talk about what worked, what didn't, and how it changed your approach.

  • You default to AI-first when designing processes. Your instinct is to ask "how should AI be embedded here?" before defaulting to the manual way.

  • You can articulate an AI-first vision for demand generation. In your interview, be ready to discuss how you'd leverage AI to build a scalable, automated engine at Harmonic that identifies, engages, and converts high-intent leads in practice, not just theory.

  • You have a point of view on AI's limitations. Given our product, you understand that AI fluency includes knowing when not to trust outputs and how to maintain accountability.
