About company

GC AI is currently an AI platform for in-house lawyers to 10x themselves. Using the latest LLMs, we are building AI agents that can use company knowledge, leverage external sources, and connect with internal tools to provide better and faster legal advice to the rest of the company. Thousands of weekly active users tell us they “cannot imagine their lives without GC AI” - which has led us to 95% retention and a NPS of 75.

This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to build for a $1T annual market. We have jaw-dropping product-market fit - growing our customer base from 0 to 500+ legal teams in a year and 3X ARR growth in the last 4 months. Join our Series A stage rocket ship backed by top investors like Sound Ventures, Fellows Fund, Guillermo Rauch and Worklife Ventures. GC AI is a small but mighty team of lawyers, engineers, sellers and doers. Here, you’ll have infinite room to grow and rethink how legal work gets done.

Come build the future with us.

About the role:

As GC AI’s first dedicated Growth Engineer, you’ll be building the foundation for how we scale. This is a highly entrepreneurial role where you’ll blend engineering, data, and creativity to unlock new growth channels and accelerate adoption of our AI platform.
You’ll collaborate closely with our founding team, shaping both our growth strategy and the technical systems that bring it to life. Your work will directly drive user acquisition, retention, and engagement, making this a rare opportunity to see the impact of your code in real time.

Why this role matters:

We're looking for a creative and analytical Growth Engineer to supercharge GC AI's expansion. You'll be at the intersection of engineering, data science, and marketing, building systems to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention. This role is perfect for someone who loves running experiments, automating growth channels, and using data to unlock viral adoption.

As our first dedicated Growth Engineer, you'll have the freedom to experiment across multiple channels - from creating viral AI-powered content engines to building automated community engagement systems. You'll work closely with our founding team to identify, test, and scale the most impactful growth opportunities for our AI platform.

What you'll do:
  • Design and implement systems for engaging potential users across platforms (Reddit, LinkedIn, legal forums).

  • Build experimentation frameworks to test and measure growth initiatives.

  • Create dashboards and analytics systems to track user behavior and growth metrics.

  • Develop tools to automate personalized outreach and engagement.

  • Architect systems that leverage our AI platform for viral content generation.

  • Implement tracking and attribution systems to measure campaign effectiveness.

  • Build internal tools to optimize our sales and marketing operations.

Impact you'll have:
  • Build and instrument onboarding, prompts, and loops that increase activation-to-first-value and day-7 retention for legal teams

  • Ship experiments across pricing, packaging, and in-product nudges that expand workspace adoption and seat expansion.

  • Stand up a trustworthy growth analytics layer so every bet is hypothesis-driven and attributable.

  • Help build the leading legal AI platform for in-house teams..

Required Experience:
  • 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience.

  • Experience in React and modern TypeScript.

  • Experience building marketing-focused features (SEO, conversion funnels, analytics).

  • Proficiency with analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Segment, Mixpanel).

  • Demonstrated track record of A/B testing and experimentation.

  • Experience with SQL and data analysis.

  • Track record of driving user growth through technical initiatives.

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with growth engineering at B2B SaaS companies.

  • Familiar with marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Customer.io, Klaviyo).

  • Knowledge of user behavior analytics and funnel optimization.

  • Background in performance marketing or growth marketing.

  • Previous experience with LLMs or AI platforms.

  • Expertise with tools like Posthog, LaunchDarkly, Amplitude, or similar.

  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and technical implementation.

The Mindset:
  • Problem Solver: You come alive tackling complex challenges without obvious solutions.

  • Ownership-Driven: You take initiative without needing direction and focus on outcomes.

  • Continuous Learner: Your curiosity drives you to constantly level up your engineering skills.

  • Startup DNA: You thrive in fast-paced environments where responsibilities evolve.
