About Gumloop

We’ve reached the “great product, organic love, zero-person marketing team” stage and are ready to scale our growth engine. This is a rare opportunity to build Gumloop’s marketing function from the ground up, working directly with the founders and GTM leads to drive activation, conversion, and awareness.

The Role

As Gumloop’s first Growth Marketer, you’ll own the full marketing stack from messaging and campaigns to analytics and experimentation. You’ll move fast, test often, and build the foundation for scalable, repeatable growth.

This is a hands-on IC role for someone who thrives in early-stage environments and loves blending creativity with data.

What You’ll Do
  • Design and run experiments across the funnel to drive activation, expansion, and retention

  • Build and optimize PLG loops across onboarding, pricing, and in-product nudges

  • Create, launch, and iterate paid and organic campaigns (search, social, podcasts, newsletters)

  • Develop and refine Gumloop’s messaging and positioning for enterprise and individual users

  • Partner with Sales to create high-converting content and sales enablement materials

  • Manage analytics, tracking, and reporting to make data-driven decisions

  • Drive awareness through creative campaigns, partnerships, and community presence

  • May oversee SDRs or growth-focused projects as the org matures

What You Bring
  • Proven experience driving measurable growth at a PLG SaaS or dev-tool company

  • Full-stack marketing skill set spanning strategy, execution, and analytics

  • Strong copywriting ability and attention to creative detail

  • Comfortable owning performance channels and attribution tools (GA, Looker, HubSpot etc.)

  • Bias for action, experimentation, and rapid iteration

  • Experience marketing to technical audiences or builders

  • Enjoy collaborating closely with engineers and designers in office

Why Join Gumloop
  • Build the marketing function from scratch with full ownership and autonomy

  • Work directly with founders and GTM leadership on high-impact experiments

  • Freedom to test, measure, and scale what works

  • High-visibility role at a fast-growing company

  • In-office role in San Francisco

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
