About the company

OpenAI’s mission is to build and ensure that safe artificial general intelligence (AGI) benefits all of humanity. This long-term undertaking brings together the world’s best scientists, engineers, and business professionals to accomplish this.

About the team

The Enablement team translates OpenAI’s product innovation into real-world customer impact by equipping customer-facing teams with the knowledge, tools, and frameworks needed to succeed in their roles.

About the role

OpenAI is hiring two GTM Onboarding Program Managers to help run the operational backbone of onboarding for our global go-to-market organization.

In 2026, OpenAI plans to onboard a high volume of customer-facing employees across Sales, Technical Success, Partnerships, and Customer Success. The onboarding program foundation already exists, and this role is focused on delivering, facilitating, and continuously improving onboarding at scale.

These Program Managers will serve as the execution engine of GTM onboarding. You will run onboarding operations end-to-end across recurring cohorts, including planning, scheduling, communications, stakeholder coordination, facilitator preparation, certification flow, and live session delivery. You will also play an active role in facilitating onboarding sessions and creating a high-quality learner experience for new hires.

This is not primarily a program architecture role. The GTM Onboarding Lead will own overarching onboarding design and structure. In this role, you will partner closely with that Lead to operationalize the program, bring it to life across cohorts, and identify practical improvements based on delivery experience, learner feedback, and business needs.

You will help modernize onboarding through AI-assisted workflows, scalable systems, and data-informed iteration that reduce operational burden while improving consistency, speed to ramp, and learner readiness.

In this role, you will:

  • Run the operational cadence of GTM onboarding across multiple roles and high-volume hiring cohorts

  • Own cohort planning, scheduling, communications, logistics, and stakeholder coordination from intake through completion

  • Facilitate live onboarding sessions, workshops, and key moments in the learner journey with confidence and energy

  • Partner with subject matter experts across Product, Sales, and Technical Success to prepare sessions and keep delivery running smoothly

  • Manage certification flow, attendance tracking, learner communications, and readiness signals across cohorts

  • Translate hiring forecasts and business priorities into structured onboarding execution plans

  • Identify operational friction and implement improvements that make onboarding easier for new hires, managers, presenters, and cross-functional partners

  • Use AI tools and automation to improve program coordination, learner support, and backend operations

  • Gather participant feedback and delivery insights to inform continuous improvement in partnership with the Onboarding Lead

  • Help ensure onboarding remains a consistent, scalable, high-quality experience as the GTM organization grows

You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have experience running onboarding, enablement, training, or cohort-based programs in fast-growing environments

  • Are equally comfortable behind the scenes operationalizing a program and in front of the room facilitating it

  • Are highly organized and able to manage multiple moving pieces, stakeholders, and deadlines at once

  • Bring strong presence, clarity, and energy to live facilitation

  • Communicate clearly and build trust with stakeholders across teams and levels

  • Enjoy turning ambiguity into structured execution

  • Notice friction quickly and proactively improve processes

  • Bring curiosity and creativity to using AI tools to improve workflows and learning experiences

Basic qualifications
  • Experience operating onboarding, enablement, or training programs for customer-facing teams

  • Strong program management and organizational skills

  • Experience facilitating live trainings, workshops, or cohort-based learning experiences

  • Experience working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders

  • Ability to manage complex logistics and recurring program operations at scale

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Willingness to work in-office in San Francisco

Preferred qualifications
  • Experience supporting Sales, Technical Success, Partnerships, or Customer Success organizations

  • Experience scaling onboarding or enablement programs in high-growth environments

  • Familiarity with learning platforms, enablement tooling, or onboarding systems

  • Experience using AI tools to improve operational workflows or learning experiences

  • Experience balancing facilitation excellence with strong backend program execution
