About depthfirst

We believe software is the foundation of modern civilization—yet vulnerabilities threaten its integrity, security, and resilience. We are on a mission to solve security.
depthfirst is building intelligence to detect and remediate critical software vulnerabilities. We train and scale security AI agents to discover zero-day vulnerabilities across large customer codebases and popular open-source software.
Our founding team brings deep expertise in data, infrastructure, security, and AI, with technical leaders from DeepMind, Databricks, Square, and Faire. We are looking for thoughtful, driven people excited to work at the intersection of AI, security, and infrastructure.

About this role

depthfirst is hiring a GTM Engineer to build the technical systems behind how we go to market.
You will work across engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success to turn fragmented data and manual processes into reliable software, automation, and infrastructure. This could mean connecting product usage to Salesforce, building a lead-routing system, automating campaign operations, creating an account-health application, identifying account signals, or establishing the data foundation we will need as we scale.
This is not a reporting-only analytics role. We are looking for a builder who is comfortable writing code, working with APIs and data, and using AI agents to ship quickly. You should also be able to understand the underlying business problem and own what you build from initial design through ongoing operation.

You will have significant autonomy to decide when to write software, use an automation platform, or introduce a new tool—and the responsibility to build systems that are maintainable, reliable, and extensible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build integrations and data pipelines connecting Salesforce, product data, marketing platforms, sales tools, and other internal systems

  • Design the GTM data foundation we need as we scale, including data models, Salesforce architecture, APIs, pipelines, and a data warehouse

  • Automate operational workflows such as campaign ingestion, lead routing, enrichment, attribution, follow-up tracking, and CRM updates

  • Build lightweight internal and customer-facing applications, including enablement, account-health, and product-analytics tools

  • Replace brittle, manual workflows with maintainable and testable systems that can be extended as the business evolves

  • Make GTM data trustworthy and accessible, giving sales, marketing, customer success, and leadership a reliable view of performance

  • Work directly with GTM teams to identify bottlenecks, translate loosely defined needs into technical solutions, and prioritize what to build

  • Own the systems you create, including their accuracy, reliability, documentation, and ongoing improvement

Required Qualifications
  • You have experience building data pipelines, integrations, internal tools, automations, or other production systems

  • You are comfortable writing and reviewing code. You do not need to be a traditional product engineer, but you should be able to independently build and maintain technical solutions

  • You are fluent in SQL and comfortable working with APIs, schemas, data models, databases, Salesforce, Databricks, and Snowflake

  • You can take an ambiguous business problem, determine what should be built, and ship a practical solution

  • You understand the difference between a fast prototype and a foundation that needs to remain reliable as the company scales

  • You use AI coding agents and modern development tools to move faster without compromising quality

  • You are willing to learn how sales, marketing, and customer-success teams operate rather than treating their requirements as a specification handed to you

  • You communicate clearly with both technical and nontechnical teammates

  • You believe in our mission of securing the world’s software

  • You are based in San Francisco or willing to relocate

Bonus points for
  • Experience building systems for a scaling B2B company

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and modern GTM tools such as Clay, n8n, Gong, or similar platforms

  • Experience combining product-usage and GTM data

  • Experience with email deliverability

  • Experience with data warehouses and modern analytics infrastructure

  • Experience building applications from scratch

  • Familiarity with security, infrastructure, or developer-tooling markets

What we offer
  • Competitive salary with meaningful equity

  • Health, vision, and dental insurance

  • 401(k)

  • Office lunch and dinner in our San Francisco office

  • Significant ownership and room to grow as the company scales
