Support the go-to-market strategy through research, marketing, sales support, and user engagement in a fast-paced startup environment.

Where multiple locations are listed for this role, the position may be based in any of those locations, with priority determined according to the order of listing.

Going to market with a genuinely new category means the hardest questions are not yet answered: who needs this most, how they find us, and what makes them stay. This role is for someone who wants to help answer those questions with research, structure, and evidence.

You'll work directly with the founders and GTM lead on the analysis behind our go-to-market decisions, and you'll see your recommendations turn into action quickly.

What you'll do
  • Research the agent and AI tooling landscape: map competitors, positioning, and pricing, and turn it into clear briefs the team can act on

  • Size and segment target markets, then build a point of view on which segments we should pursue first

  • Talk to users and prospects, synthesize what you hear, and translate patterns into product and GTM recommendations

  • Support early sales motions: prospect research, account briefs, and follow-up materials for founder-led conversations

  • Build lightweight models and analyses that answer real questions, such as pipeline health, funnel conversion, and channel efficiency

  • Write crisp memos and decks that help the team make a call, not just admire the data

  • Bring structure to ambiguous problems and be comfortable when the answer is not in a playbook

You might be a fit if
  • You're pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • You can structure messy problems and extract insight from incomplete information

  • You write clearly and concisely, and you can defend a recommendation

  • You're comfortable talking to users and partners, and you listen well

  • You're proficient with spreadsheets and comfortable learning analysis tools quickly

  • You have a genuine interest in AI, agents, and startups

Bonus: prior internship in consulting, VC, corporate strategy, or market research

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
