In-person collaboration is essential to Notion's culture. We require all team members to work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, our designated Anchor Days. Certain teams or positions may require additional in-office workdays.

About the Role:

Notion is hiring a GTM People Partner Lead to lead our global Go-To-Market (GTM) People Partner team. You will set the People Partnering strategy and operating model for GTM, grow and coach a distributed team, and partner closely with senior GTM leadership to drive strong org, talent, and performance outcomes.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead the global GTM People Partner team

    • Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing People Partner team across regions and time zones.

    • Establish a clear operating rhythm (prioritization, stakeholder routines, escalation paths).

    • Build shared standards, templates, and coaching approaches that improve quality and speed.

  • Partner with senior GTM leaders

    • Act as a trusted partner to Staff GTM leadership on org design, leadership effectiveness, and talent strategy.

    • Bring a clear point of view, with crisp recommendations and trade-offs.

    • Translate GTM strategy into People Partner priorities and team focus.

  • Drive talent, performance, and org health outcomes

    • Coach leaders through performance management (including sensitive and complex situations) with strong judgment and high care.

    • Lead talent planning and succession for critical GTM roles.

    • Identify risk areas early through strong signal gathering and trend analysis, then action improvements.

  • Balance global consistency with local requirements

    • Ensure core People Partnering principles are consistent globally, while honoring regional context and compliance needs.

    • Partner closely with Legal, Finance, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and People Operations to deliver cohesive outcomes.

What We’re Looking For:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in People Partnering, HRBP leadership, or closely related roles, including leading teams.

  • People leadership experience with a track record of developing People Partners.

  • Deep experience partnering with GTM orgs (Sales, Customer Success, Partnerships, Marketing, Customer Experience, RevOps, or similar) in a fast-scaling environment.

  • Proven partnership with GTM leaders building their orgs for scale (team design, hiring plans, role clarity, leveling, leadership bench, and operating rhythms).

  • Strong craft in org design, performance management, and leadership coaching.

  • Comfort operating at the Staff/Executive level: influencing, challenging, and aligning senior leaders.

  • Systems mindset: you create lightweight, repeatable approaches that reduce rework and increase clarity.

  • Strong communication skills (clear writing, crisp synthesis, direct recommendations).

Nice to have:
  • Experience leading globally distributed People Partner teams.

  • Experience partnering across multiple geographies (e.g., US + EMEA + APAC).

  • Strong cross-functional fluency with Legal and Finance in high-stakes people decisions.

What success looks like (first 6–12 months):
  • GTM leaders describe People Partnering as clear, proactive, and high-trust across regions.

  • The global GTM People Partner team runs on a simple cadence with crisp ownership that aligns with the business, and fewer avoidable escalations.

  • Performance and talent actions are timely, consistent, and well-documented.

  • You’ve strengthened the bench and raised the bar on People Partner craft.
