The Role

We are seeking a driven hardware test engineer who will work on our cutting-edge product development and cost down projects on our existing products.  You will be on a team of high caliber hardware test and reliability engineers with the opportunity to learn and grow with SPAN.

In this position, you will be:

  • An integral part of the hardware engineering team

  • Responsible for planning and executing hardware tests

  • Responsible for planning and executing component qualification tests

  • Be a versatile hands on player with the ability to dive into test coordination, rig design and build, test execution, post test characterization and failure analysis

  • Work collaboratively within the hardware engineering organization and interface with other functions as needed within SPAN

About You 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors in a technical discipline (ME or EE preferred) with 2+ years of test engineering experience

  • Prior experience working alongside test technicians or contract technicians to build test setups and execute tests

  • Independent ability to solve engineering problems

  • Knowledge of electrical and electromechanical systems

  • Ability to collaborate with the team to present complex topics

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Bonus Qualifications

  • Masters degree in ME or EE

  • Basic Python programming skills

  • Prior experience supervising junior test technicians

  • Experience with high voltage systems and equipment
