What you'll be doing:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of commercial control across contracts, bids and processes, identifying risks, liabilities and commitments within contractual agreements

  • Work closely with the Business Development team to identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities that support IWE's strategic objectives

  • Take ownership of commercial performance, risk management, and business growth.

  • Lead and support the development and delivery of IWE’s service offering, with a strong focus on building and maintaining a future business pipeline.

  • Responsible for achieving clear commercial targets, milestones and commercial risk management across ongoing contracts for the commercial success of the IWE business

  • Develop and maintain strong, effective relationships with existing and prospective clients, partners and suppliers

What we're looking for:

  • Experience of leading & managing a high-performing cross-functional team of commercial managers, and quantity surveyors with the ability to embed commercial strategy and awareness across  a business

  • Able to demonstrate successful commercial management of programmes of capital works and service delivery contracts

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage a CVRs and P&L, thorough knowledge of contracting arrangements and experience in stakeholder management and problem-solving

  • Working closely with BD and legal teams to commercially evaluate and develop new contracts and renewal contracts with clients and suppliers to protect Veolia’s commercial position. Participation in Veolia Governance reviews up to Exco level for sign off of new contracts and commercial deep dives on existing contracts during implementation.

  • Ability to build relationships and influence at senior leadership level

  • Solution-focused & creative, with the ability to implement strategy & embed it into a business

  • Experience in leadership of the business to resolve disputes with clients and suppliers using dispute resolution processes. 

  • Experienced in  change management processes and the negotiation of change

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and work effectively with ambiguity
