About Lightfield

Lightfield is an AI-native CRM that assembles itself from your email, calendar, and meetings. It captures every interaction and turns it into organized context: accounts, tasks, follow-ups, and insights, so nothing slips through the cracks.

We’re rethinking CRM from first principles. Instead of forcing teams to maintain rigid systems, Lightfield learns from how companies actually work, adapting, automating, and surfacing the insight that drives growth. We’re building the CRM platform we always wished existed: fast, intelligent, and genuinely helpful.

We are backed by Greylock, Lightspeed, and Coatue, and our team previously built Tome, a generative AI presentation product used by over 25 million people. Before Tome, many of us worked on Llama, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, Pinterest, Google, and Salesforce.

About the role
We are building Lightfield to be the most helpful, valuable, and significant company in GTM tech. To do this, we're assembling an elite go-to-market team to establish category leadership in CRM, and are starting by partnering with the most innovative early-stage companies.
We’re hiring for a Head of Community to mobilize the early-stage founder ecosystem around Lightfield — building a tight online + offline network centered around our HQ in San Francisco. This person will report directly to our Head of GTM.

What you'll do

  • Build and lead the Lightfield founder community. Identify, invite, and cultivate relationships with high-caliber early-stage founders who care about GTM, with a focus on building deep, authentic relationships.

  • Run an in-person event engine. Design and execute events that founders actually want to attend, including events at our San Francisco HQ, as well as activations at third-party tradeshows.

  • Create repeatable community programs. Build structured programs like founder circles, GTM clinics, or “build your first outbound motion” cohorts — and iterate based on what drives real outcomes for members.

  • Grow and manage our founder Slack. Turn Slack into a true peer community where founders share GTM questions, wins, and playbooks with each other. Seed discussions, make intros, and spotlight the best conversations.

  • Turn conversations into content. Capture learnings from events, office hours, and Slack, and turn them into lightweight content (posts, clips, templates) that showcase how the best founders are running modern GTM.

Who you are

  • Track record of success at a fast-paced early-stage company. We have an incredibly ambitious vision, and work hard to achieve it. You’re comfortable with an intense pace, with high standards, and with wearing many hats.

  • Community leadership experience. You know what it takes to get high-caliber people to show up and stay engaged.

  • Deep empathy. You understand the reality of running a small team: juggling product, GTM, fundraising, and hiring. You can talk credibly about go-to-market, not just “community.”

  • World-class event operator. You sweat the details — guest lists, room composition, timing, the first 5 minutes of an event. You’ve shipped events end-to-end and can share examples of formats that worked (and ones that didn’t).

  • Strong writer and communicator. You can write crisp, no-fluff invites, follow-ups, and posts that get busy founders to respond. You’re comfortable on-stage or moderating a panel, and don’t mind being a visible face of the community.

  • Passionate about AI and modern GTM. You’re curious about how AI is changing GTM, and you want to be right in the middle of the teams figuring it out in real time.

Benefits & Perks
  • Competitive salary

  • Meaningful early equity

  • Health insurance (medical, dental, vision)

  • 3 weeks of PTO

  • 11 paid company holidays + we enjoy a winter holiday break

  • 3 months of paid family leave

  • Wednesdays work from home

  • Regular team dinners, events, offsites, and retreats

  • 401k plan

  • Other perks include: commuter and lunch stipend

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
