Job Description:
 

Position Overview: 

The SVP of Corporate Development will play a central role in shaping Uniphore’s growth strategy, leading corporate development initiatives while integrating a critical responsibility for investor relations focused on managing private fundraising efforts. This position emphasizes engagements with private investors, including venture capitalists, private equity firms, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals. 

 

This role will drive strategies around mergers, acquisitions, and private fundraising, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. The role requires expertise in private capital fundraising, strategic finance, and a deep understanding of the evolving AI landscape. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Investor Relations (Private Fundraising): 

  • Develop and lead Uniphore’s private fundraising strategy, targeting venture capital firms, private equity investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals. 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for private investors, managing end-to-end communication and cultivating strong, long-term relationships. 

  • Prepare and deliver tailored investor presentations, financial models, and fundraising materials to private market stakeholders. 

  • Oversee due diligence processes for private investors, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with Uniphore’s growth strategy. 

  • Monitor and analyze market trends and investor sentiment to optimize private fundraising efforts and identify new opportunities. 

Corporate Development: 

  • Partner with the Office of the CEO (OCEO) to execute Uniphore’s inorganic growth strategy, focusing on mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic investments. 

  • Drive all aspects of M&A transactions, including target identification, evaluation, negotiation, and integration. 

  • Align M&A strategies with private fundraising efforts to maximize synergies and growth potential. 

  • Serve as an expert on market trends in AI and SaaS to guide strategic decisions and corporate initiatives. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Product, Marketing, People, Legal, and Finance, to ensure alignment across fundraising and corporate development initiatives. 

  • Partner with senior leadership to shape the company’s strategic narrative for private investors and M&A opportunities. 

Risk and Opportunity Analysis: 

  • Conduct detailed financial and strategic analyses to evaluate the viability of M&A transactions and private fundraising efforts. 

  • Identify risks and opportunities to inform decision-making and optimize outcomes for Uniphore and its investors. 

Executive Reporting and Approvals: 

  • Work closely with the Chief Executive Officer to secure board-level approvals for fundraising and M&A activities. 

  • Present comprehensive analyses, including investor feedback and transaction recommendations, to senior executives and stakeholders. 

 

Qualifications: 

Education and Experience: 

  • Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered. 

  • Proven experience leading corporate development and private fundraising efforts within the AI or SaaS industry. 

  • Extensive experience managing private investor relations, including direct engagement with venture capital and private equity firms. 

  • Demonstrated success in fundraising, including venture capital and private equity rounds. 

 

Skills and Attributes: 

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with private investors. 

  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking to navigate complex financial decisions and execute high-impact transactions. 

  • Proactive, results-driven, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Deep knowledge of the private capital markets and the AI industry’s growth dynamics. 


 


Hiring Range:

$0 - $0 - for Primary Location of USA - CA - Palo Alto

The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience.

In addition to competitive base pay, this position also includes an annual incentive opportunity based on target achievement,  pre-IPO stock options, benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with a match, and more, plus generous paid time off, paid holidays, paid day off for your birthday and other paid leave policies to support employees through all phases of life.
