Actian is at a pivotal inflection point. With the integration of Zeenea and Wobby, we are evolving from a high-performance data platform to a Data Intelligence powerhouse. We are looking for a visionary Head of Product to lead our Data Intelligence product division.

You will be responsible for the growth pillar of the Actian ecosystem. This role is about defining how Global 2000 companies use AI Agents and Data Mesh principles to discover, govern, and trust their data. You will lead a global team of Product Managers to turn the CPO’s strategic vision into a market-leading reality that dominates the Gartner Magic Quadrant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vision & Strategy: Define and execute the roadmap for the Data Intelligence Platform, in close relationship with Actian CPO, moving beyond traditional metadata management into AI-native Data Products and Agentic Governance.
  • Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing team of 5–8 Product Managers across Europe and the US, fostering a culture of technical excellence and rapid delivery.
  • The AI Frontier: Oversee the development of AI Agents that interact with data products, enabling conversational discovery and proactive data governance for CDOs.
  • Analyst Influence: Own the relationship with industry analysts (Gartner, Forrester). Your goal is to position Actian as a leader in Data Management and Governance categories.
  • Engineering Partnership: Work hand-in-hand with the SVP of Product Engineering. You must be able to "speak engineer," understanding AI-driven development workflows and cloud-native architecture.
  • CDO Engagement: Act as the face of the product for Chief Data Officers and Data Governance leaders, helping them modernize their data stacks and transition from legacy systems to a unified AI-driven platform.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years in Product Management, with at least 4 years in a leadership role managing other PMs.

  • Domain Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience in the Modern Data Stack (Data Catalog, Governance, Data Mesh, or Data Quality).

  • Technical Savvy: You are "technically dangerous." You understand the mechanics of AI/ML, LLMs, and how AI agents can automate metadata extraction and user interaction.

  • The "Hybrid" DNA: You have successfully navigated both the agility of a startup (like Zeenea) and the complex stakeholders of a global corporate entity (like Actian/HCL).

  • Strategic Execution: Proven track record of taking a high-level vision from a CPO/CPTO and decomposing it into actionable, technical milestones for engineering squads.

  • Global Mindset: Experience managing distributed teams across different time zones (US West Coast to Central Europe) and cultural nuances.

  • Communication: Exceptional English proficiency. You can simplify complex technical "black boxes" into compelling value propositions for the C-suite.

What We Offer:

  • The chance to be part of an innovative, fast-growing company making a significant impact in the data management space.
  • Collaboration with a passionate and diverse team.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Flexible work arrangements (remote or hybrid).
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.
  •

Why Join Us? At Actian, we are passionate about innovation and teamwork. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, loves creating an efficient and welcoming workspace, and enjoys working closely with a talented team.

We value diversity at our company. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or any other applicable legally protected characteristics in the location in which the candidate is applying.
