🚀 About Us

We’re Bolt.new by StackBlitz!

We’re the team behind WebContainers, the groundbreaking technology that made it possible to run Node.js right in your browser. No installs, no setup, just instant dev environments. That innovation kickstarted our journey in 2019 and powers the blazing-fast online IDE used by over a million developers every month.

But we didn’t stop there.

We took everything we learned from building WebContainers and used it to create Bolt.new. The fastest way to go from idea to production without writing traditional code. Think of it as the Canva or Figma for full-stack applications: a next-gen, AI-powered builder that lets you create, edit, and deploy web and mobile apps instantly, right in your browser.

WebContainers make it possible. Bolt.new brings it to life. Together, they reimagine what it means to build software lowering the barrier to entry, speeding up workflows, and unlocking creativity for the next generation of builders.

We’re a globally distributed, fully remote team of passionate engineers, designers, and creatives building the future of software development. If you love shipping fast, solving real problems, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible we’d love to meet you.

✨ About This Opportunity

You'll be Bolt's 1st full-time finance leader, working directly with our COO to build out the function. This is a foundational role: you'll shape and own our processes for FP&A and board-level reporting, quote-to-cash, deal desk, procurement, and sales compensation, and you'll partner with Product and Growth on pricing & packaging.

Finance at Bolt is not a back-office function. You'll get operationally involved in every department of the business, and because we're an AI-native company, you'll build agents to handle the repetitive work so you can spend your time on the decisions that move the numbers.

You will be a key partner in building the operating backbone for Bolt's next stage of growth.

🛠️ How You'll Contribute
  • Close & Reporting: Run monthly/quarterly close, consolidations, and reconciliations; deliver a fast, accurate investor and board reporting pack (ARR/NRR, retention, cash).
  • FP&A Budgeting & Forecasting: Establish quarterly budgets by team; drive rolling forecast and unit economic analysis; monitor plan vs. actual for the full P&L.
  • Revenue Recognition & Controls: Author ASC 606 policies, review deals/terms, maintain control evidence; support both external audits and SOC 2 readiness.
  • Quote-to-Cash: Define and maintain order flows, invoicing, collections, cash app, and credit risk processes; reduce DSO and exceptions across Rillet ⇄ Stripe ⇄ Snowflake ⇄ HubSpot.
  • Pricing & Packaging: Partner with Product and GTM to design, test, and measure monetization strategies; set up an ongoing experimentation loop.
  • Deal Desk: Own guardrails and discount policy for sales-assisted deals; lead non-standard approval processes with Product, GTM, and Legal.
  • Compliance & Audit: Support external audits and SOC 2 readiness led by the CTO; ensure consistent process hygiene.
  • Primary Tools: Rillet (ERP), Stripe (billing/payments), Snowflake (data—via data team BI tools), HubSpot (CRM).
💡 Qualifications
  • 8+ years in SaaS finance/accounting with end-to-end Q2C and revenue recognition ownership.
  • Experience building/owning Deal Desk and sales compensation programs.
  • Strong process and policy writer; effective operator across Product & GTM
  • CPA preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to improve close time, forecasting, and DSO.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills are required, as this role involves frequent collaboration with team members, stakeholders, and customers where English is the primary working language.
🎯 Bonus Points
  • Experience in PLG monetization experiments.
  • Familiarity with SOC 2 audit processes and evidence management.
  • Hands-on integration experience among ERP, billing, data, and CRM systems.
📌 A Few Notes
  • You do not need a college degree to apply
  • You do not need to be located in the U.S. — we’re remote-friendly
  • You do not need to meet every qualification listed above
