About the Team

The GTM (Go-To-Market) Innovation team is an internal powerhouse revolutionizing how we engage customers through groundbreaking applications of our technology. As an incubator, we amplify the impact of Sales, Technical Success, Enablement, and Revenue Operations by deploying our technology at scale. This team applies advanced capabilities to real-world interactions — reshaping conversations with customers, learning from every exchange, and finding novel ways to show the value of our technology.

About the Role

As the founding technical leader of the GTM Innovation team, you’ll develop a team of customer-focused software engineers responsible for figuring out how we meet the world at scale. In this product engineering role, you’ll drive both the strategy and operations of the team, partnering with functional GTM leaders to develop your roadmap. You will conduct user research, create prototypes, and iteratively ship your solutions. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Technical Success, Revenue Operations, and Applied Product and Engineering teams.

This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead, build, and mentor a team of high-performing software engineers to deliver exceptional outcomes, as demonstrated by production GTM applications and workflows.

  • Own the full product development lifecycle for new GTM products end-to-end.

  • Deeply embed with internal stakeholders to understand their problems and build novel solutions to address them using ChatGPT and the OpenAI API.

  • Serve as the technical advocate for your users, synthesizing their needs to develop the Research and Applied Product/Engineering roadmaps.

  • Act as the primary technical escalation point for your team, fostering trust and maintaining direct communication with executive-level stakeholders.

  • Validate, synthesize, and deliver high-signal feedback to the Product and Research teams.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have 6+ years of experience as a software/ML engineer, product engineer, or customer engineer. Experience in incubator/lab environments delivering ideas from prototypes to production is highly valued.

  • Have 2+ years of experience leading technical teams with a demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and manage technical talent.

  • Are proficient in Python or JavaScript, and have a strong grasp of AI/LLM best practices.

  • Have built and/or delivered prototypes on top of our API platform.

  • Own problems end-to-end and are willing to pick up whatever knowledge you're missing to get the job done.

  • Have a humble attitude, an eagerness to help your colleagues, and a desire to do whatever it takes to make the team succeed.

  • Are an effective, high throughput operator who can drive concurrent projects and prioritize ruthlessly.
