Description

About Flytrex:

Flytrex is transforming food delivery through autonomous drones, creating a faster, smarter, and more affordable way for customers to enjoy food from their favorite local restaurants. As we expand into new cities and neighborhoods across the U.S., we're looking for an experienced, ambitious, and hands-on Head of Marketing to lead our next stage of growth.

About the role:

We're looking for a marketing leader who knows how to build demand, grow a brand, and successfully launch new markets.

Unlike traditional digital businesses, Flytrex operates in physical communities, where growth requires a combination of digital marketing, local activation, restaurant partnerships, and grassroots execution.

You'll own our marketing strategy and execution, lead a growing marketing team, and work closely with operations and business development to drive measurable results.

We're looking for a relentless, resourceful leader who doesn't take no for an answer. Someone who thrives on challenges, finds creative solutions, pays attention to the smallest details, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves. You should be equally comfortable building a long-term strategy, analyzing campaign performance, reviewing creative, and personally making things happen.

What you'll do:

Drive Growth & Market Expansion

  • Own customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and order growth across existing and new markets.
  • Develop and execute scalable, hyperlocal marketing strategies to launch and grow new territories.
  • Build repeatable marketing playbooks while adapting to the unique characteristics of each community.

Own Online, Offline & Partner Marketing

  • Plan and execute integrated campaigns across paid digital, social, email, push notifications, direct mail, door hangers, local events, and grassroots initiatives.
  • Lead both B2C and B2B marketing, driving consumer demand while supporting restaurant acquisition and merchant engagement.
  • Develop creative local partnerships, co-marketing initiatives, and unconventional growth opportunities.
  • Continuously test new channels and tactics to identify what drives measurable business results.

Lead Performance, Brand & Creative

  • Own marketing KPIs, budgets, attribution, and performance reporting across channels and geographic markets.
  • Lead Flytrex's brand positioning, messaging, and creative direction, maintaining high standards across all touchpoints.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the marketing team while remaining actively involved in execution.
  • Establish clear processes, priorities, and accountability to support rapid, efficient growth.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of marketing experience, including significant leadership responsibility and proven experience managing and developing marketing teams.
  • Demonstrated success scaling consumer-facing businesses across multiple geographic markets, including launching new territories.
  • Deep understanding of hyperlocal demand generation, with hands-on experience executing campaigns in geographically distributed markets.
  • Strong background in both B2C and B2B marketing, across online and offline channels.
  • Proven experience with physical marketing initiatives, local partnerships, and grassroots customer acquisition.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience owning marketing budgets, measuring performance, and translating data into actionable decisions.
  • Excellent understanding of branding, design, creative direction, and effective consumer messaging.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities without losing momentum.
  • A proven track record of both strategic leadership and hands-on execution, particularly in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments.
  • A relentless, entrepreneurial, results-driven attitude: someone who takes ownership, challenges assumptions, overcomes obstacles, and finds a way to get things done.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 20–50% to support market launches, local execution, partnerships, and team collaboration.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the food or restaurant ecosystem, including QSRs, food delivery platforms (DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc.), restaurant technology, or POS companies.
  • Experience in high-growth startups, marketplaces, or multi-location consumer businesses.
  • Familiarity with mobile app acquisition, lifecycle marketing, and attribution tools.
