About us

Relay is a cross-chain payments protocol that provides instant low cost cross-chain bridging, swaps, and transactions. We're the fastest and cheapest way to bridge and transact across chains, serving over 5 million users who have completed 59+ million transactions with $6+ billion in volume across 85+ chains.

Our company mission is to make transacting across chains as fast, cheap, and reliable as online payments. We are building the core infrastructure to abstract chains from end user payments, enabling the next billion users to experience the benefits of blockchain without the UX burdens. We are bringing the Relay Network to market through our consumer app (relay.link) and major ecosystem partners, including Opensea, Alchemy, LiFi, Metamask, Coinbase, and more.

About the role

We’re looking for a Head of Marketing to define our story, shape the Relay brand, and build a function that drives enterprise adoption. This role blends product marketing, narrative development, communications, and creative leadership. You’ll craft Relay’s point of view, bring it to the world, and grow an audience that believes in what we’re building.

What you'll do

  • Own the Relay narrative and brand: articulate what we do, why it matters, and how we win

  • Lead B2B marketing and GTM positioning: drive enterprise adoption, shape how partners understand Relay, and support integrations with clear, insight-driven messaging

  • Build and manage a high-performing marketing team across creative, content, growth, and communications

About you

  • You are a strong storyteller with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives

  • You have deep product marketing instincts: positioning, messaging, competitor analysis, and launch planning

  • You're genuinely excited about crypto and on-chain finance

Skills and qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience leading a marketing function and managing teams in fast-moving web3 / crypto or complex tech environments

  • The ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships with product, growth, business development, and leadership teams

  • A discerning eye for brand and high-quality design

  • Having a strong personal brand and/or experience managing a high-visibility social presence is a bonus

What we offer

  • A competitive base salary and equity in what we're building

  • Comprehensive health benefits

  • An unlimited PTO policy with encouraged minimums

  • A remote-first culture with emphasis on collaboration, communication, and flexibility

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
