Every pet should get the care they need, regardless of cost. Vet med prices are up 40% since 2020, and pet owners are stuck having to pick between their bank account and furry friend. At Snout, we aim to solve this by enabling clinics to offer wellness plans that actually work.
Snout is one of the fastest growing wellness plan providers in the veterinary space, trusted by clinics across the US. We’re a small but mighty startup team of <50 employees. We're searching for a data-driven and creative Head of Marketing to work closely with our CEO to build our marketing function from the ground up. This role is very multifaceted - you will lead the charge and define our veterinary facing brand, work with our hundreds of veterinary partners to market to millions of pet parents on a monthly basis, and drive the strategy behind consumer branding as well. This role is remote US based, with a strong preference for candidates in the New York City area.
Snout is a B2B2C company and our plans are sold exclusively through our veterinary partners. We're looking to hire someone who is a strategic "doer." You will be in charge of both marketing to veterinarians and helping them market to their clients. The latter will be the first area of focus. The marketing team will work with our veterinary partners and their account managers to build and test campaigns, from emails to swag bags, it’s all fair game. We have millions of pet parents in our database and our vet partners are hungry for support. Once we find working paths, you’ll work with our product team to scale it out to all of our partners.
This role combines problem solving, creativity and experimentation with data-driven decision making. You’ll work with our engineering team to refine millions of records for your needs and insights. From there, you'll build outward: developing Snout's voice, visual identity, and go-to-market playbook. In this role, you’ll have freedom to play and test all your ideas. There is no shortage of experiments to run. When they don't, you'll learn fast and move on. We promise you won’t be bored!
If you’re scrappy Founding Marketer archetype, data-driven, and energized by the chance to build a brand that truly makes a difference, this is the role for you!
Snout is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We know that great candidates may not check every box — and that’s okay. If you're excited about this role and our mission, we encourage you to apply if you meet at least 75% of qualifications including the first bullet. If you need any accommodations during the application or interview process, please let us know — we’re happy to support you.
