The opportunity

As the global business owner for Ascom's Nurse Call portfolio, you will work at the intersection of customer needs, clinical workflows, technology and commercial strategy. You will define what we build, why we build it and how it creates value for customers and healthcare professionals.

Define and drive the portfolio strategy

  • Develop and communicate a clear three to five-year vision for the Nurse Call portfolio.

  • Identify market opportunities, customer needs and emerging healthcare trends.

  • Ensure the portfolio strengthens Ascom’s market position and supports sustainable, long-term growth.

Own the global roadmap

  • Lead product discovery, requirements management and portfolio prioritisation.

  • Balance customer value, clinical impact, technical requirements and commercial objectives.

  • Understand workflow challenges and unmet needs through active customer and clinical engagement.

  • Ensure portfolio investments address real clinical requirements and improve patient safety, caregiver efficiency and outcomes.

Deliver commercial success

  • Own portfolio growth, profitability and overall business performance.

  • Develop robust business cases and support investment and pricing decisions.

  • Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, customer adoption and portfolio performance.

  • Drive expansion of the Nurse Call business while protecting margins and recurring revenue opportunities.

Lead product definition and lifecycle management

  • Oversee products from concept and market requirements through launch, growth, maturity and retirement.

  • Ensure requirements are customer-validated, clinically meaningful, commercially viable and technically feasible.

  • Define migration strategies between product generations and align lifecycle decisions globally.

  • Maintain high standards across product management processes, governance and communications.

Build and develop the team

  • Lead, coach and develop a global Product Management team.

  • Build product management capability and establish a modern product operating model.

  • Foster collaboration, customer focus, innovation, accountability and data-informed decision-making.

  • Influence effectively across functions and geographies, including at executive level.

  • Experience managing product roadmaps, prioritisation, requirements and lifecycle decisions.

  • Clear, credible communication and an inclusive, collaborative leadership style.

  • The ability to lead teams directly and influence beyond formal reporting lines.

  • Healthcare technology, Nurse Call, clinical communications, patient monitoring, medical devices, healthcare software or adjacent healthcare solutions.

  • Managing portfolios that combine hardware, software, integrations and services.
